I think you are being a little dishonest by badly over-stating the Degale situation.

I'm just saying I don't understand Ward complaining about moving to LHW when he probably had no intention of fighting DeGale or the Dirrell brothers. If he were to stay at SMW he cannot simply avoid those fighters like he did in the past. He only wanted to stick around at 168 against GGG, and his attempts to negotiate a fight against GGG failed miserably. Yeah the media pressured him to move up, but he was going to move up to LHW anyway.

The other current thread regarding Mayweathers claim that Ward is being forced to move up, is just Mayweather being Mayweather.

If Ward wanted to stay at 168 he would stay, no question.

That 3-fight HBO deal was likely very lucrative and he was also likely planning on moving up to 175 anyways.

A cynic would likely refer to that 3-fight HBO deal as protection money to leave GGG alone

But the situation that you and I just described has nothing to do with Degale.

You would be more correct, but still obviously wrong, to make that claim about Jack and Groves.

On another slightly different track, why the fk won't Degale avenge Groves ?

Groves may not have been interested in giving Degale an immediate rematch, but I am sure that he would jump on that fight now following his 2 losses to Froch and given that Degale is holding a strap.

Also, the Jack fight is not a given at all, although I definitely favor Degale.

Degale is waaaaay too far away from Ward to be making those insinuations.

Especially considering that Ward is lining up Kovalev.

Ward did not avoid Degale..... Degale was just another potential Ward victim.

Ward has never publicly never stated to why he doesn't want to fight DeGale, probably he feels like DeGale has unfinished business with Groves as you say, but we don't know because Ward won't even mention his name.

2) You admit that Degale was not the most deserving SMW.
3) You admit that Degale only has 1 good win under his belt, countered with 1 UN-avenged POOR loss to Groves.

I'm not desperate at all, you're the one going ape **** because you misinterpreted what I said. Again I never stated that Ward is afraid of DeGale, he's just avoiding him, as in doesn't want to fight him for whatever reason. Now your arguments would have merit if I didn't have a source, but I did provide a source to DeGale's manager stating that Ward pulled out of a contract already signed by DeGale, how is that not avoiding? I'm not fixated on DeGale, you're the one who is, but that doesn't change the fact that Ward has been avoiding him as in refuses to fight him when the opportunities where there. I'm all good with Ward's decision as of now as long as he keeps his word that he fights three times this year in 2016 against quality opponents.

Your opinion on DeGale not being the most deserving for a title has nothing to do with the argument. As for what people would say if Ward stayed at 168 for DeGale, I don't know. A lot of people in forums also would like to see a Ward vs DeGale fight. I'm pretty sure fans and the media would not see Ward ducking Kovalev because DeGale is a dangerous opponent.

Du'h Andrea - yes, yes we do. We want to see you fight good fighters, is that so wrong? Your cherry picks are ultra safe too, there's not even a hint of risk in them.

At this point most would consider Groves a cherry pick, but as he can fight Andrea won't go near someone even like that, coming off three losses.

I don't care about moving up or staying at 168 - I just wanna see you fight someone who poses a threat, sorry for that.

GGG will fight - film the negotiations and we will see Andrea wriggling out, and being unable to blame the other party for not wanting it.

Groves would take a fight, and a small part of the purse.

DeGale would fight him, Andre Dirrell probably would too.

At 175 he does not have to go so ultra safe with a Paul Smith, there's Bute, Cleverly and Pascal - let's see you take those on.

When you're not in such a heavy flow month Andrea, then there's these three we'd like to see you fight: Beterbiev, Stevenson, and Kovalev.

Till then, stay in Oakland at some bingo hall, or whatever, not interested in you.
