    Andre Ward be frontin

Andre says he doesn't make his decisions based on opinions - then lets look at facts.
    • The fact is he was asked to fight Yuneski Gonzalez and said no. Instead he attempted to fight Dunn, Augustema, Murdock and is now fighting Brand.
    • The fact is he said no to Lucian Bute because he said he needed to earn it.
    • The fact is he said no to Adonis Stevenson because he said he needed to earn it.
    • The fact is he had no problem trying to fight a shot Kelly Pavlik, Julio Chavez Jr or Caleb Truax.

Who's the last fighter we heard that said they didn't need to justify their opponents? Oh yeah - Peter Quillin when he was getting ready for Zerafa.

If he gets in the ring with Kovalev, I'll give him massive credit, because this dude hasn't tried to be the best since December 2011. But also keep in mind he said he was prepared to retire 2x during his hiatus. I'm thinking after he picks up his next 2 paychecks prior to Kovalev he might be getting that retirement speech out.

I think Pigeons said it best yesterday when he stated :

I don't think that Golovkin fans want to see competitive fights in this sport. Not only do they openly root against Golovkin fighting a single opponent where he isn't a massive favorite, but now they are all over this thread, down on both knees, praying that Ward-Kovalev doesn't happen.

      Sad bunch of "men".

Meanwhile I have to keep a pulse in anticipation for GGG vs Grand Tureano Johnson starring Clint Eastwood .

Hey, Ward could've had a competitive fight with Gonzalez instead chose the exact opposite and you guys cheer him on for it. He gets credit for fighting Kovalev when that fight is actually next and not a year away.

I keep hearing from Golovkin fans that Ward turned down whoever this Gonzalez bloke is.....yet see no legitimate source to back up this information.

Here's what I'm not understanding, why is ward getting so much support for "possibly" fighting kovalev in a year? Yes kovalev is one hell of a fighter, and in the top 5 p4p,but people are acting like no one has ever wanted to fight kovalev, and ward is performing a miracle by taking the fight. Pascal was beaten half to death against kovalev, and he's going right back in there for the rematch. A near 50 year old Hopkins took the fight without any *****ing or tuneups. The last guy that kovalev fought, mohammedi, was considered a bum by many, but he still went in there without any complaints. On the other hand,we have ward, who is considered by many to be at the top of the p4p list, having to take 2 tuneups (3 if you include Paul Smith) just to "maybe" fight kovalev. If he would fight at least top 10,maybe top 20 fighters at 175,I'd understand, but he's literally dragging 168 lb fighters up for him.

Lol @ GGG fans. Ward is moving up and chasing greatness and they don't understand this concept.

actually i would like an explanation. why alexander brand of all people? i don't see what he thinks he will accomplish by beating up on super middleweight journeymen at the light heavyweight limit. it won't prepare him for kovalev and it won't raise his profile, it's just a waste of everyone's time as far as i can see
