No, in order to prove he is great, Golovkin should want to fight the best.

Cotto weighs 153, he is a JMW who is punching above his weight.

Golovkin said that he can make 154, so refusing to even consider a catchweight for a JMW because you know that he will be stripped is taking the easy way out by intentionally avoiding that fight.

He might weigh the same as one,but if he wants to be called the Middlewight champ,and keep his middleweight titles,he has to fight other middleweights at the full 160. If he feels he's too small,or golovkin Is too big,he should just drop the belt and move back to 154.
