Canelo: I'm not ready for GGG unless it's at 155, now I'm off to fight 1 of 2 small ww.
... I don't know... maybe they are only "ventilating" this fight with the Rios/Bradley winner... Sometimes, one gives "the worst possible scenario" in order to come up with something considered as "better'...

So its off to obscurity for him, he's gonna have to come down or go up a division (oh wait Ward is there, so he's stuck) Cotto or Canelo can face bradley, thurman or a host of other boxers, lil g will fade to black, he only has a few years left
I get the impression that you dont want to see the winner of Cotto/Canelo face GGG.

GGG might have a strong following in the boxing world but as his ppv numbers show, he's not yet a household name, a win over Canelo or Cotto would make him one.
Ur right m8......but what can be done about it.....you can't make canelo or cotto honour that middleweight belt and unless you put a gun to there head and demand it by ransom......we have 2 options now......do golovkin bow down to canelo just because there's more money on the table but n the process possibly weaken himself to the point of losing even though he has every right to be 160....or go the political route and lose the fight with canelo or cotto but stick by what's the correct thing to do and be a middleweight...take the belts and then you have at least some sort of bargaining power......if it was me I would offer a catchweight of 157 if i still remain healthy and unaffected by the catchweight...if not then I will get the belts and face other fighters my weight.....bear in mind golovkn has weighed consistently just under 160 his whole career and those 2 pounds when your at that level of fitness is like 6 pounds 2 us...Both cotto and canelo should not hold the belt if there not prepared to fight anybody up to 160 fella....it's the oldest division in the world and 154- 160 has been around over a century

I dont really care, I figured Canelo would because of his size, but if he doesnt want to fight at that weight, the reality is that it will hurt Lil g more than it would canelo or Cotto. He will have to come down in weight or go up one division if he wants a big fight and if he fights cotto/or canelo they are gonna use his last ppv #'s against him at the negotiations table. Most boxers just move up in weight for better comp, but not lil g. So it hurts him in the end.

Stuck...you guys kill me...how much is your paycheck this coming Friday? This guy just got paid 2 million bucks and sold out another arena but somehow being undisputed unified champion is the worst thing a boxer could do. Also by the lil g lingo of yours I can tell you are the uber definition of a casual fan.

U dont care about a MW unification bout? Why do you even watch boxing then?

I'm not interested in seeing the Cotto/Canelo winner against GGG because I think it will be another GGG mismatch. If Cotto wins, he should vacate. Maybe his reputation will suffer among the haters on this site, but I think history will be much kinder to him. His career has been not only great, but fascinating too.

If Canelo wins, he should either got back to 154 or vacate. He should be held to a different standard than Cotto regarding MW catchweights because: 1) he's actually big enough to be a middleweight; and 2) he has padded his record with wins over overmatched AND outsized opponents (while Cotto has made a career out of fighting bigger men...with an exception or two).

I really think that this is a more important fight for Canelo than Cotto. If Cotto loses, he can ride off into the sunset...maybe have one more easy fight on his way out. IF Canelo loses, where does he go? Does he squeeze back into 154, or does he fight mediocre opponents at MW?

But Rios will have to fight canelo at 155 buddy.....triple GGG was gonna go light middleweight......either way we all know that the mayweather fight would never happen with golovkin....canelo if it is true about him fighting Rios ....then it's shameful in my eyes and there's no defending it
