... I would still want Canelo to win (by KO, if possible) -- this because of the probable "boxing politics outcome" to emerge from a Cotto win... Cotto may very well "lure" Floyd out of retirement in order to fight at 154.1 for the WBC and the "lineal" Middleweight titles... and you know where and when... and you also know that WBC would also "sanction" such a fight...

Yeah, but in boxing, they have these things called "weight divisions"

And how that that works is that ... oh never mind ... I'm going to go have another bash at teaching my cat how to play chess.

He's pretty smart, for a cat. I'm sure he'll get it eventually.

Somebody would need to pay GGG BIG step aside money for that to happen. The WBC gave Golovkin a contract saying he will be next.

K2 would sue them if they broke it.

Weren't both Cotto and Canelo forced to pay GGG step aside money even for their fight? But I suspect that Oscar already paid his dues by giving him that Lemieux fight

... FMJr and Cotto supposed to pay big step aside money to GGG? Why not?

Catchweight 154.1 lbs. Cuz Floyd has more money even than Cotto.

... 154.1, of course -- I just said it above...

... Floyd and Cotto would sign for that weight, but they would "secretly" agree to come at 152, at most...

Crazy how you have guys here to call themselves "boxing fans" that are actually advocating for the winner of GGG/Cotto to drop the belt rather than face their mandatory. These so called fans are A-side cheerleaders rather than true fight fans.
