While I dislike Canelo, the sparring session was ages ago and Canelo was just a baby back then - don't think it has anything to do with it.

IMO it's just negotiating tactic by both parties.. although Canelo is definitely using the CWs to his advantage. He's the superstar and doesn't think the backlash can seriously hurt him. I'd guess he's correct - at least in the short term.

You are obviously correct, Canelo was 19yo.

FACT: Team Golovkin know that Canelo will be much stronger if he were to undertake full training camps that are designed to prepare him for 160.

Golovkin is a manufactured fighter, they are padding his record to make him look good..... that fight would be HUGE, a deal could be put in place for Canelo to have 2 tuneups at 160, like Ward is doing at 175..... but oh no, Team Golovkin show no interest in having a fair MEGA fight..... it is far more important for them to demand that fight NOW, knowing that the winner will likely be stripped.

Just the same way they could negotiate a reasonable catchweight for little 153lb Cotto. They understand all about weight (just ask Andre Ward) and they insist that Golovkin can make 154.... but oh no, they have no interest in giving Cotto a reasonable catchweight in order to make a MEGA fight..

Team smoke-and-mirrors have not fooled me.

Sooner or later, they will have to stop avoiding the real ones.

Anyone from 154/160 should be breaking their neck to get in with Cotto/Canelo..... but Golovkin seems to be doing the exact opposite.

In a couple of months time..... IF the list of fighters that Golovkin COULD-have-fought-but-chose-not-to, contains the names of 4 fighters who are ALL better than anyone on Golovkins resume.....

..... he will be completely written-off as a total hypejob.

On paper he looks like a terrific fighter, but his team should know Golovkin better than anyone else, and I can see that they have their doubts about him.

You cats who are calling Canelo a coward need to wipe that jizz off your lips.

Canelo DEMANDED the best guy available, against the wishes of his promoter.

I dont see none of that from Hypekin.
