Canelo is in no position to call for a catchweight, just my opinion.

As far as Hopkins/De La Hoya goes, what does that have to do with the fight we were talking about? Hopkins agreed to a catchweight because he wanted the money that came with fighting De La Hoya , he was the one to bring the money back then like Mayweather and Pacquaio now so he agreed to 158 and beat his ass.
No it won't, you're right..... but it's a damn good step in the right direction.

What other options does Golovkin have ?

If Golovkin wants that fight, he will have to accept a reasonable cw.

Sometimes you gotta dare to be great.

    Like Hopkins did.

Golovkin said that he could beat anyone at 154 less than 1 week ago.

I dont see the problem here ?

I agree that Cotto/Canelo should give him 156.

Golovkin did say that he could beat Canelo at 155 bro.

I would agree with him, but after the shit they pulled with Ward fuck Little G.

          1) Canelo said a cw was necessary

          2) Golovkin said he could do it at cw

          Whats the problem again ?

I think Canelo needs to be the one to dare to be great in this situation, if he wins he will have a middleweight title and id like to see him defend it at the middleweight limit, especially since after this fight he will have had 4 fights in a row at 155 lbs and weighs in over 170 lbs on fight night.

GGG may very well beat him at 155 but the point is he shouldn't have to in this situation. I like Canelo and GGG I just think Canelo's wrong this time.

If you were so sure of yourself, you wouldn't feel the need to constantly make **** up, and never admit when proven wrong.

As far as I know, GGG never said he would beat Canelo at a 155 CW. (although he likely does, he doesn't have to).

GGG, actually, Sanchez said no one at 154-160 makes it 12 rounds with him.

He did not say, after They drain me 5 pounds I'll still KO Canelo.

Why do you have to be told the difference over and over again.

Fighting someone at 154 is one thing.

Fight a MW champ who rehydrated to 175 is another.

GGG would go down to meet Floyd at 154. That's splitting the difference.

GGG fights Ward at 164, that would be splitting the difference, although now Wards a LHW. Making the gap too big to happen anytime soon.

Canelo will be Lineal MW champion. He acts like there is a 155 division which he resides in, but it doesn't exist.

If he is a JR.MW, then he'll vacate and then maybe when Canelo is ready to admit his 175 pound ass is a MW, then whatever.

It's refreshing to have GGG stand up to these cowards.

Two guys from two different weight classes, for a non-title fight, is the very thing a CW makes sense for.

Canelo is fighting in the MW division, he doesn't want to admit it.

If GGG wins the SMW lineal, but demands Ward come down to 161 to fight for it, then these two situations would mirror each other.

Canelo wants a CW for a guy who he is bigger than. It's pathetic.

Weren't they willing to fight Froch at 168 for his IBF title? But they were not intending to actually stay there?
