honestly, in a site like atlantic city, there's virtually no difference.

2-3 hours of extra air travel.

did froch have to fight ward in ward's backyard? is that what AC is? is it closer to being ward's backyard than it is a neutral location?

Who is that Ward you speak about, I only read about Ward in GGG threads, makes the impression that Ward on his own is totally irrelevant.

When and who is he fighting?

I keep asking these any other day...
And all I get is "GGG this", "GGG that"... As if Ward isn't an actual fighter anymore and he turned into some sort of ancestor cult.

Kovalev or Stevenson won't top Kessler/Froch. I'm not sure where you got that I said Ward should retire because he has done it all.

Now you say that, now you say Ward should move up to progress. But earlier you said pretty boldly that he needs to move up to 175 for a career defining fight.

Bika and Abraham hung around but lost to the elites of the weight class.

Because questions are being asked to Andre Ward fans by Golovkin fans, so I use Golovkin's weight class to counter.
Well obviously you were more impressed by the kessler froch wins than i was. And yes i do believe him moving up and beating kovalev would be better than both of those wins combined. I guess I've just been waiting for ward to become the superstar that his pedigree and skills would dictate...not to have his career defined by smw obscurity and inactivity.

he's from nottingham, england. where should they have fought? the guy who goes through the tournament undefeated has to travel to the backyard of the guy who lost to mikkel kessler?

vegas, atlantic city, new york, and los angeles are some of the most nonpartisan places in the world to stage a boxing match. american fighters aren't favored in america the way british fighters are favored by british refereeing and judging.

AC is much closer to neutral ground than a fight in nottingham.

Well they would have made more money in nottingham. The final being somewhere as neutral as possible is also understandable. It was called the "world" boxing classic tho, and part of the catch was to have fighters from around the world being showcased in different venues around the world. It just didn't seem like ward was interested in that aspect of it.

Even though I'm a Wad fan, I understand why people complain that he was allowed to fight in Oakland for the majority of his bouts. What I don't understand is why Ward and not the other fighter's management team gets the criticism for it.

Ward was a relative unknown when the tournament started and didn't have much negotiating power against the likes of Kessler, Abraham and Froch. Why not fight at home if you have the option?

Just like regular people, in the real world you strive to make your job easier not harder. All the complaints about not fighting abroad is fan boy BS.

Ward beats Golovkin, but Ward wasted his chance for a GGG fight multiple times. Whether it's sitting out because he can't read a contract thinking it's not valid or him thinking it's A side.
