After what we know now about Floyd, we need a special category for someone like Floyd.

    I rank him #IV.

      Between 10-20.
Long career with a lot of positives but also a lot of negatives. Lack of a Prime ATG on his resume is the killer.

Top 10, his boxing is on another level. There are a lot of great fighters who could be in the top 10 but Floyds boxing skills are superior to most. Don't judge him on what he does outside of the ring and his personality but judge him on what he does in the ring. He makes fighters like silly.

Kind of a tough question. I think because of how much more available it is to get connected to fighters the more we know about them now vs fighters decades ago. They might of still been tough guys but we can't find anything on them.

Is Mayweather greater than Sandy Saddler? If so that's probably cracking the top 30

I think he is retired for good. Why would he say he was retired if he wasn't ? I don't have an all time great list all neatly listed in order of greatness from 1 to 100 and I'll bet damn few posters have such a list. I just took a wild guess that as good as he is he must be somewhere between the 20th and 30th best in history. If anything I would rank him higher than that rather than lower but I have never compiled a carefully thought out top 30 list. There are so many great fighters I have never seen fight. It's hard to say.

I would rank him under Pacquiao, no matter where Pac falls on the list. Pac didnt need a Mayweather win to impulse himself to greatness. Mayweather needed Pac to improve his resume before retiring.

Also Pac dared to be great and rose to the challenge of moving up through the weight classes while Mayweather dodged and ducked and cherry picked his opponents all the way up to retirement.
