Mayweather is a great fighter but he was in a weakest era of boxing, their was only 1 other great fighter and that victory is tainted with the shoulder injury, his IV use, and he didnt even fight him in his prime.
So like I said very great fighter but their was no other great fighters (or enough) to full gauge him.
Then in typical Jr. fashion, he goes and says, LOOK WHAT I COULD OF DONE if I had fought Margarito if you saw Mosley already KO him.
Well no, how about we would of liked to see what you could of done back then. This applies to Jr. fighting Mosley, Pac, Cotto @ 140lbs, and hell, P. Williams before the accident. So many fights he could of had when they were truly hot and not when you had no choice but to favor Jr. 50-1 because you already knew how shot or disadvantaged his opponent was.
I don't see how you can claim ATG when you fight fights that your already so heavily favored to win. ATGs should be defying odds and shocking people.

ability wise, he just might be the greatest fighter of all time. Id rank others such as Duran, Sweet pea, and Leonard on his level.
On one of those lists based mainly on resume people with no lives compile? He's probably top 30-40. Top 25 at best.
Anyway, does it take more effort to make a resume based ATG list than an ability based one? And, what is ability if not judged in the context of competition faced? Almost anyone can look incredible if put in against the right competition.
lol @ this post.
