    Yeah what accomplishments?

    1. No other fighter has ever won 2 Ring titles in 2 different weight classes within the same year. Henry Armstrong won two Ring titles in 2 different weight classes in consecutive years, not the same year. So there's one thing Floyd has done that no other fighter has done in the history of boxing.

    2. Only 3 fighters in the history of boxing have ever won a Ring or Lineal championship in their debut weight class and then 5+ weight classes later won another Ring or Lineal championship.

Henry Armstrong: 126 Ring champion, 147 Ring champion (at the time this was only 3 weight classes but now it is 5 weight classes), Floyd Mayweather Jr, and Manny Pacquiao. Pacquiao: 112 Lineal champion, 140 Ring/Lineal champ. Mayweather: 130 Lineal champion, 154 Ring champion.

    3. There's only 6 professional boxers in the history of the sport who won titles in 5+ weight classes, Floyd is one of them.

Wouldn't a boxer that's been proven to attempt to cheat (such as by way of picking their opponents gloves for them and etc.) not even be worthy to be mentioned among the Greatest of All-Time?

best defensive fighter ive ever seen, hands down..

dunno where to put him overall but I think he really should be in the top 20 BUT.....

with the ongoing doubt of him being a drug cheat he should be right around near james toney

Don't know what some voters are smoking...floyd isn't anywhere near top 20...he fought..an overmatched Gatti..washed up Dela hoya..one dimensional hatton during his PRIME years...not to even mention Baldomir.......this dude is easy top 50 not top 20 nor top 10...little kids.

When comparing to that upper echelon of ATG's, there were no excuses really, they just fought everyone. Today's greats have too much influence on who they can and will fight and lets face it, they're pampered. Would Floyd or any other modern great do as well if they HAD to fight 2-3x more a year? Also, while his 23 world champs is great, lets face it, it seems like everyone and their mother can get belts these days, between the number of divisions and belts.

Phenomenal that he has maintained a perfect record and his defense is top notch for sure. Unfortunately, I just feel he (or Hopkins/Pac) can't get up that high just by the nature of the game today vs even 20 years ago.
I just don't think fighting Cotto and Margarito in 2007 and 2008 would have moved him up 10-20 more spots on the ATG list, or add to his actual accomplishments. They were dangerous fighters at the time yes, but the Mayweather vs Arum dsipute was at it's worse at the time and those fights weren't going to happen no matter what, as long as they were in TR, they were not gonna happen. Floyd had just come off a lawsuit vs Arum in 2006 and Floyd claimed Arum owed him money, which Arum's response was that he did owe him. Look at Ward vs Goosen, Mikey Garcia vs Arum, stuff happens. Floyd was lucky he had Haymon help him out or else he would have ended up like Ward or Garcia.

Top 10. Arguably Top 5. Historically being the top 5, has more to do with just skill and record/resume. I'm as big of Mayweathers skill, technique and boxing knowledge as Larry or the next big Mayweather fan... But I don't believe he has had what I myself consider a historically defining career that made an impact inside and outside the Ring.

Mayweather has been a pleasure to watch, as I enjoy the sweet science for more than the brutality of the sport. I found his ability to box like Pep/Whitaker amazing or his speed/combinations reminiscent of Leonard/Taylor. He was far from the most admirable character outside the ring but inside a master of the craft.... I say the same for Pacquiao for his offense/aggression like Duran but like Mayweather his life was far from perfect but not as scrutinized. Mayweather will go down as one of the best boxers of the sport but not as the Greatest Of All Time
