Merchant is the same guy that claimed Floyd was afraid of Manny and that he would never eclipse ODH's PPV earnings. He doesn't like Floyd, ok, but be a pro and keep your personal feelings out of your job.

Some great fighters have moved up in weight to challenge the bigger man. Billy Conn-Henry Amrstrong-Sugar Rays-Robinson and Leonard-Duran-Hearns-Roy Jones-Hopkins- Holyfield. All the Floyd fanatics whining that Floyd is way too small to fight Golovkin at JMW have to remember, all of North America and the majority of the rest of the boxing world saw Floyd fight since the beginning of his pro career when he was still a prospect. He naturally moved up in weight as he got older and bigger. Being from Kazakhstan and not having the stellar promotion and publicity that Mayweather had been given since he started to impress as an amateur, Golovkin only gained the attention of the boxing world and more importantly, the US boxing scene when he was like 30 years old and by then had already developed into his full mature size. Golovkin will probably never be big enough to be a LHW and will eventually move up to SMW once he cleans out the MW division. Floyd has already fought at JMW so I don't see what the big deal is in him fighting one more time at that weight. If JMW is a stretch for him, why did he ever agree to fight for a JMW title? Just because everybody has seen Floyd move up in weight as he's gotten older doesn't mean that Golovkin should be able to go up to LHW simply because he was already halfway through his pro career when he started fighting in the States.
