Hatton beat Tzysu and then Maussa to Unify the titles, now he is fighting for the Welterweight title...while Floyd is fighting Zab for the Welterweight title, the winner of Mayweather/Judah is likely to face Margarito, and after that who knows the winner of that fight might face Hatton if he wins against Collazo...IMO Big fights coming up, this will just set up the big fights.

Am I the only one losing respect for Hatton?

I'm beginning to wonder whether Hatton will ever fight Floyd. The endless delays then final choice of Collazo suggests to me that his team have had problems negotiating good fights for him. Hatton straight after the Maussa fight was talking about going after people like Cotto, Castillo, Corralles and then after that it seemed that he wanted Gatti and then Baldomir. Yet those fights didnt materialise and it seemed like every week they would say we'll announce who he's fighting very soon only to delay it again... and I think Collazo was a kind of last minute choice because they had run out of options. So the prospect of Hattons team negotiating a big fight like Mayweather doesnt really fill me with joy.
Also it looks like Mayweather wont be able to avoid a fight with Margarito for much longer and he also wants a big pay day against Oscar De La Hoya, which HBO would probably love.
I just think this is gonna be one of those fights that everyone wants to see but never happens due to something always being in the way. I would love to be wrong though.

Hatton just unified 2 out of 4 belts at the jr welter level and basically chased Floyd up to 147. I don't see how you can be upset with Hatton, considering Floyd goes up and fights Corley, Bruseles (wtf?) and Mitchell. What's wrong with Hatton fighting Collazo?

Even the Collazo fight might not happen....
Collazo vs Hatton: On Or Not?
07.04.06 - By Per Ake Persson:
WBA 147 lb champ Luis Collazo is set to defend the title May 13 against Ricky Hatton - or is he not? One who says he is not, at least not the way things are now, is Sauerland Event´s CEO Christian Meyer. "The WBA have as of April 6 not approved the fight", states Meyer, who´s say he´s in daily contact with the organisation, "and as far as we are concerned, Collazo must take care of his mandatory defence which is against Oktay Urkal before taking on anyone else."
Urkal became the WBA mandatory challenger last year after beating Frederik Klose. As Collazo was given permission for a voluntary defence, Urkal defended the EBU title in September of 2005 (W12 Maxim Nesterenko). He then relinquished the title as the WBA called for purse bids.
The purse bids took place October 17 with Don King Productions winning with an offer for 465 000 USD. Sauerland Event bid 230 000. There were then numerous attempts to stage the fight by DKP which then fell through for one reason or another - and they also tried to sell the fight to Sauerland Event but an agreement could not be reached.
Finally, Collazo vs Urkal appeared to be on for April 1 on the Brewster vs Lyakhovich bill but then DKP said that there were visa problems for Urkal, which was said to stem from Oktay´s fight against Kostya Tszyu back in 2001.
"But this was based on an opinion from the US Emigration and there were never any contacts made. At the same time DKP negotiated with the Hatton camp", says Meyer and continues: "We hired our own attorney to look into the matter and he says there will be no problem for Urkal to enter the US and fight Collazo."
"We have written to all parties involved about the problems", says Meyer. "The purse bids make it legally binding for Collazo to fight Urkal, he simply can´t get around it. There have up until now not been any offers for step aside money or other agreement from anyone. We are waiting for a final decision from the WBA and are confident an amicable solution can be reached."

To be fair, those names can't be used in this discussion because Hatton has fought primarily guys who are at 140.
If you're a big proponent of guys in respective weight classes I could see an arguement someone is trying to make for Hatton having fought the better level of opposition based on that alone.
But Floyd has demolished some serious names.
Hernandez, Chavez, Corrales, etc etc etc etc.
