Because everyone and their mother nearly has cable or internet access. And if they don't, they don't matter in this conversation because they don't watch boxing. Some of y'all are dumb as ****.

And they are not doing as great as people think they are because if they were advertisers would be beating down their doors. And ESPN is not free you have to pay for Cable or validate your cable service to access their streaming content. Free TV is NBC, CBS ect. The ratings are subpar because the amount of money PBC is pouring in. If this were operating on a FNF budget of course this would be a success. But when you paying 2.5mil Just for the main event and have no advertisers you need higher ratings.
They had commercials, thus they had advertising. But since you work for PBC, what sponsorship deals do they have exactly? And... you pay for ESPN, it costs 13 or 14 a month and HBO is $15 a month and ESPN has commercials while HBO does not. I'm sure your community college degree in cable subscriptions or accounting is second to none, but I highly doubt you have any clue on what makes money or not.

ESPN wouldn't care about losing money, Haymon paid them to be on TV.

Dude, you're comparing a established boxing brand in HBO Boxing with a brand new boxing series in PBC.
Also remember, ESPN,Spike,Fox Sports 1,etc.. have apps/websites that live stream their events. Live streaming is actually one of the main reasons ESPN's TV ratings have dipped over the years.

That's not what he said. PBC offers fights over a spectrum of platforms and yes there are free fights. So ppl talk about free PBC fights because they exist. Period.

Purses like that are unheard of in boxing until PBC came around. So yes they are overspending and still getting subpar TV ratings. Last weeks ratings is only considered a success if you judge it on PBC's past failures in TV ratings. And most importantly they still have no TV advertisers which is why you see a million Corona commercials or rounds where they don't cut to commercials at all. If these ratings are so great why aren't advertisers beating down their doors?
I stopped reading after "its a fact". Why do you care about advertisers and the money so much?? Just watch the d.a.m.n fight and sthu.. You a freaking blogger talking like a financial adviser.
