The big 3 are actually Pac, Cotto, and Marquez. Floyd still has that on his resume.

Lets not pretend that the fact that May had just signed a 5 fight deal with HBO and Castillo was the first of five had nothing to do with it. Castillo wasn't going to mess up HBO's investment they made sure of it, all the judges had May winning by at least 4 points if that doesn't tell you the scorecards were fixed I don't know what does.

this can keep going.. maidana did better than expected first floyd fight , but lost, faded in the late rounds, but still some say he won..now contrast that with the floyd-cotto fight, cotto gave him hell but everyone agrees floyd won, because it was expected that a HOF opponent would be tough for floyd.

Originally posted by ryedes View PostIdk about that. Major newspapers across the country had it for Floyd. Even kellerman in his ESPN days couldn't give it to Castillo. Dan had it a draw. And the only thing that was wrong was how WIDE the judges had it. The decision was right but the score gaps were horrible. 114-112 115-111 max. The second fight was clear that Floyd won but bc or the judging in the first fight they surprisingly had it closer than the first fight.
No way should Floyd been rewarded the decision, he knew.
You would have to give Floyd every close round to have him winning which I didn't. I score close worlds for the champion as it should be.

and after the rematch :
"I told you it would be easy this time. My plan was to box more, no power shots, be smart." - Floyd Mayweather Jr.
"I never figured him out. I think he fought a more intelligent fight this time. I never felt I did anything this time." - Jose Luis Castillo
