I'm very forward and honest when it comes to Floyd. A couple of years ago I hated the guy, through out the years he's grown to me it's his fighting style that has made it look very easy against any opponents. Say what you want, "oh he runs allot" I've been hearing that for years, I repeat YEARS and all I have to say is that the natuoa of stopping that when you get in the ring with him is what do you expect? He's fought every opponent STYLE imaginable and have yet to come close to overwhelming him of any sort. I have to give him credit because it's hard to get in the ring and comfortably cruise to decisions the way he does. He made the best p4p 2nd best fighter on the planet look easy in defeat. Say what you want on the injury not every fighter goes in the 100% every time I'm sure Floyd has had his shares that he wouldn't want to let the media know.

      These are the facts

How can the guy you quote be on this site nnnot look at the stats

Their title fight record isn't close

Mayweather never won a vacant title and has actually defended the lineal title over 10+ times...I think PAC has only 10 lineal title fight wins total....Mayweather is close to 20 defenses

Floyd never fought slick black fighters when you have Berto saying "Floyd hasn't seen speed like this since Judah" that is pretty pathetic and let's be real Pac was 2 on the p4p list because of his past accomplishments not because he was the second best fighter in the world at the time. You don't get knocked out like he did then beat Rios and Algieri and you are the 2nd best fighter in the world again. Oh yeah Floyd always lets the media know he is hurt remember right after the robbery over Castillo he started coming out with excuses over his hurt hand.

          Exactly.

Tbh, the people that don't want to give Floyd credit won't.

Even beating the top fighters in his time, at a number of weights - including 154 when he could have still made 140 if he had cut weight like most of them do - he doesnt get the credit he deserves.

That's just the way it is.

But frustrating as hell that he doesn't even have Robinson in his top 5.

How many fighters in history, made it clear they were the best of their era

He beat almost every potential hall of famer in his weight class

                130 had Hernandez and Corrales

                135 Castillo

                140 Gatti

                147 Mosley, Hatton, Pacquaio

                154 Canelo, ODLH, Cotto

im sure at least 8 out 10 make the hall

with less than 50 fights that's impressive no matter how you slice it

dude has been fighting champions on a consistent basis since 1998....2003 AND 1999 are the only years he was actice since 1998 where he didn't fight a current or former world champion

                that doesn't happen everyday

only people that are gonna be complaining are the fans of the fighters he beat, or haters because Mayweather is truly an all time great and proofed it, he don't owe us nothing. He can end his career however he likes
IMo Oscar de la hoya and Manny Pacquiao, are future hall of famers for sure the rest you can easily make an arguement

Yeah, you got most of it down there AP.

Maybe a lot of the "haters" let a dislike of him as a "person" get in the way of appreciating his talent as a "boxer"? That's fairly easy to do!

Or, maybe, they don't like his clever defensive minded style?

                  Whatever.

Myself, I agree with his statement that he's beaten the other biggest names and has earned the right to pick who he wants to fight at this stage.

                  Many will disagree.

                  That's just how it is.

Floyd fought the best Pac? Really? *sigh*

I do agree that Cotto ducked Floyd at 140 but at 147, it's a different story.

Accept the loss? I could care less. I'm just stating the truth and Floyd's stans don't want to admit it.

Mayweather fought ODLH his first fight not with TR

Soon as Cotto goes solo, he fought Floyd

sorry Floyd was never scared of all of them and how is him waiting to fight anyone benefitting him when he is older than Cotto, Pacquaio, and Canelo and has fought waaaaaay more championship opposition than them

He has twice as many title fight wins as Pacquaio

Sure let's blame Top Rank. Sure.

Do you give DLH credit for beating Chavez and Whitaker?

Its not Floyd's fault Marquez was able to whoop Pacquiao's ass when he got his rematches.

Before Floyd retired in 2007 Cotto had never even been in the ring with a top fighter. In 2012 Cotto had more experience and was at a weight class where has looked even stronger.
You serious? Cotto was in there with Quintana and Mosley. Cut the bullshit! Cotto's best weight was a prime 147 and Floyd ducked that challenge.
