this can keep going.. maidana did better than expected first floyd fight , but lost, faded in the late rounds, but still some say he won..now contrast that with the floyd-cotto fight, cotto gave him hell but everyone agrees floyd won, because it was expected that a HOF opponent would be tough for floyd.
Has nothing to do with what I expected it's what I saw that told me Castillo won the fight. We can talk about ESPN or whatever but the HBO crew was shocked they didn't even say anything for minutes after the decision was announced. Even they couldn't justify the decision and it was in their best interest for Floyd to win The crowd everybody knows Castillo won that fight. It it what it is, for people to consider him TBE is a joke. De La Hoya would have beaten him and he was passed his prime and cracked out and Floyd barely won that fight, De La Hoya kills him in his prime.

No way should Floyd been rewarded the decision, he knew.

You would have to give Floyd every close round to have him winning which I didn't. I score close worlds for the champion as it should be.
Idk about clearly. Castillo only won rounds 9 and 11. And if the point system is ineffective then Winky wright clearly beat Jermain Taylor and Lara beat Canelo but we aren't screaming clear robberies in those fights years later ?

ok, i see, every close fight Floyd lost right.. applying that thinking to Ali, he should be 0-3 vs Norton. . if its not a shutout, he lost. i get it. .and how was it in HBO best interest for floyd to win, the way those commentators talked about him, all i sensed was hatred, especially from merchant.

Floyd is absolutely right. Look at who Golovkin is so desperate to fight: the winner of Cotto vs Canelo.

But both of those guys are Floyd's sons. He's already been there and done that.

I don't even think Bradley is elite anymore. He's on the downside of his career as well.
Style wise Lara could give Floyd a good fight but my god, how boring could that fight be...
I think GGG at 154 would be the only real threat to beat him if GGG could be healthy at that weight.
Thurman,Porter, brook, khan: good fighters but they can't beat Floyd even at this advanced age.

No but we're still crying about Hagler Leonard even though Hagler gave away the first two rounds.

just score close rounds 10-10, there's not a 9 point must system

Mosley. Then Floyd fought Hatton & retired that December.
