WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (34-0, 33 KOs) is back on September 26th on Premier Boxing Champions, but he won't be facing his mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin (29-1, 21 KOs) next month, or even this year.
But Wilder will have to face Povetkin within the next year. The World Boxing Council will order negotiations in October and they expect the two fighters to battle in early 2016.
Former top cruiserweight Alexander Alekseev says Wilder is a good talent, but doesn't have enough experience to face the Olympic gold medal winner Povetkin.
