    What you expect from a bunch of racists, steadily giving money to these guys who are supposed power punchers to fight cans but isolate people with actual skill like Rigodeaux and Ward. **** HBO.

      There's a case to be made that he's the best fighter on earth right now.

          @ backyardign your the racist rigo is so boring people literally change the channel when he's on and ward destroyed all the momentum he had when he became inactive that's why they are off HBO you idiot.HBO is still the premier boxing network so bow down you peasant.

            Belts are very important for the less popular fighters though. That's part of their appeal.

            Belts don't mean **** to big named guys like Canelo, Cotto, Mayweather, Pacquiao. They can sell out arenas and have people tune in whenever they want. But they do mean a lot to a guy like Kovalev.

            Let's be honest if Kovalev only held one title then he probably would be an undercard fighter and occasionally appear on HBO. But because he's being promoted as the best LHW with 3/4 belts to prove it, that creates intrigue. That gives HBO a reason to show his fights.

                Straight left as good as left hook

                From an orthodox stance, the straight left is as powerful as the left hook when it follows the straight right due to the additional pivot. Few fighters still deploy that punch. Kudos to Kovalev for resuscitating the punch from the brink of extinction.

                  Actually your the racist . How do I know ? Because u read straight from the racist handbook . The racist handbook page 1 second paragraph states;

                  "To prevent the rise of Black supremacy in the sport of boxing requires slick and somewhat cunning maginalization of any dominant black fighters skill set. If he's too good to be beaten simply marginalize him to the fullest extent by demonizing ALL of his ring strategies . Say he's clinches too much or that he holds too much . You can even say he headbutts excessively. But if none of that works you may simply use the ace in the hole = JUST SAY HE'S BORING !!! This is the ultimate excuse to deny a Black fighter his due as this excuse it almost impenetrable"

But, GGG is a bigger name than Kovalev. So, Ward's probably gonna try and wait on that. I'd like to see Kovalev challenge Wilder. But I guess Haymon makes that tough. Kovalev's done all he can do at light heavy. The cruiserweight division isn't real popular over here. But there's a couple Russian beltholdets there. Plus, most of the tpp guys there would love to get on the HBO platform. Chasing titles in multiple divisions always creates interest and excitement. Something I think Kovalev should consider before his career hits a stalemate waiting on things to happen.me Sotimes you gotta make things happen.
                      Ward and Kovalev are the closest in size of any of the men you mention here, but you don't think Ward should make something happen by accepting Kovalev's offer to fight him?

                      You are fine with Ward hanging around waiting for GGG to finish business at 160, but want Kovalev to move up for Wilder?

                      That's nuts.
