He was willing to overlook this for Froch/Chavez because of huge money involved, I think...

Golovkin and his team members have mentioned the idea of dropping down to 154-pounds to face Mayweather, who does hold the WBC/WBA titles at junior middleweight. Mayweather has not fought in a junior middleweight contest in over two years, and that fight against Saul "Canelo" Alvarez took place at a catch-weight of 152-pounds.

And the funny thing is no floyd-fan posters will see anything wrong with that. They shat on GGG for offering 168 to Froch and Chavez but 164 for Ward. Even though Froch had little desire to fight again and 168 was the only way that fight was happening and despite Chavez not being able to make <168 anymore (couldn't make 170 ffs).

"Ward beats GGG's ass at 168"
"GGG needs to come to 147 so Floyd can whoop him"
Everyone demanding that GGG weaken himself in some form in order to make a fight. Thought he was easy work, why all the need for advantages?
"Floyd has no business fighting a guy like Golovkin" - Jeff Mayweather
Regardless of whether Floyd would or would not win at 154 or 147...the statement above is all I need to see to determine how Jeff truly feels about that fight. You can interject any kind of spin on the tale end of that you want but that is the core sentiment.
