There is no excuse for Floyd! GGG offered to come to 154, and Floyd has no better opponent to fight at this point. This is the definition of a "duck." There is also no excuse for GGG! Andre Ward has offered to fight Golovkin @ 168, and Golovkin said that he would be willing to fight Chavez Jr & Froch @ 168, and Golovkin has no better opponent at this time. This also, is the definition of a "duck." Let's not create double standards!

Why forget about Floyd? Floyd and Triple G are both champs in divisions one weight class from each other...

I say either Floyd fight Triple G or retires as a fraud who has always taken the "easier" fight his entire career...

Even fighting Pacquiao 5-6 years too late was still the "easier" option than fighting Triple G...which is the fight I and any non-FIomo hardcore fan would have preferred..but we'll give Floyd the Pac fight he lost for the money... but farewell fights on CBS... pretty pathetic if you ask me..

Freddie Roach has already admitted that it's was Pacquiao's fault for the 1st negotiations falling apart over drug testing, so stop blaming Floyd for the fight not happening when it should have. What was Arum's excuse after Floyd got permission to fight before going to jail? Stadiums, cuts, etc. Again, stop blaming Floyd! Floyd fought Oscar @ 154, Manny fought Oscar @ 147. Floyd fought Cotto @ 154, Manny fought Cotto @ 145. Floyd fought Canelo @ 152, Manny fought Margarito @ 150. And finally, in head-to-head battle, Floyd won 8-4: Easy Work! Manny is irrelevant, and has no place in this conversation.

I'm a Canelo and Cotto fan, and would like to see the winner of that fight vs GGG. Floyd is a 147lber, so that fight is already ridiculous. Why again are you worried about GGG fighting Ward @ 168 again?

The same reason why Ward does not want to fight Kovalev before GGG. Once he gains the weight, it will be hard to go down again, without compromising his abilities. And GGG can kiss goodbye the fights with Canelo/Cotto and Lemieux. He was willing to overlook this for Froch/Chavez because of huge money involved, I think...

Exactly this! I said the same thing in the Whitaker/Mayweather thread yesterday. Floyd is overrated. PERIOD. When he fought Oscar, he was at his peak. He talked all that **** and almost lost to a part time, very rich fighter/promoter. If Oscar wasn't old, he would've won the fight. The best win on Floyd's record is a prime Chico. Hahaha! He clearly lost against Castillo and Pacquiao. The reason why Manny is the best fighter of his era, is because of clear ducks like this, by Floyd. The guy NEVER challenges himself. No, because for them to achieve greatness they had to show they could beat bigger fighters. Floyds not into showing how good he is? Yes, he beat Pac, but only after JJM beat him to it. So Floyd has never took fights at the right time to make him as good as he wants to be.
