Who wins the fight? It's really as simple as that.

From the look of things, Kovalev will likely head into the fight over 10:1 favorite and likely end the fight within 10 rounds. You look down the full card for Kovalev-Mohammedi and there isn't a single competitive fight on the entire bill.

Flores-Shumenov, believe what you want about the two fighters, is another competitive fight to headline a PBC show, with the co-feature of the night being another introduction of one of the rising prospects with Haymon.

Kovalev-Pascal was a **** night of fights, saved by the main event; this card looks no different.

$100 ticket to Kovalev-Mohammedi against a $100 ticket to Shumenov-Flores, and the PBC show crushes it, in terms of value for money ($100 gets you a ringside seat, and the PBC shows have been generally loaded with 9-13 fights on the bill).

Who cares who wins the fight?

        Shumenov-Flores is a sideshow...literally.

We'll see how many people show up...but the guess is there aren't many who would leave The Strip to go watch the fight, even if it's free.

i dont know the kovolav train has lost a ton of steam since they backed out of the purse bid they asked for themselves after saying stevenson was ducking and using networks to duck fights etc etc

              Great idea

Think taking on this persona with KOv would dramatically increase his profile, Not really impressed with how Main Events has marketed him up to this point. He's only known to hard core boxing fans even if he has the division on lock he will probably never cross over

I suggested the same kind of anti American PR for Rigo in a thread a couple years ago. If the fans won't love you make them hate you regardless they'll tune in to watch you fight. Indifference is what you don't want.

The entire experience is so dull that I never thought it would have been possible to take boxing and make it so unappealing to watch. I think it is bad for the sport to take such an exciting product and suck it totally dry of entertainment value.

Such a lackluster production will only drive existing fans away and certainly will not attract many new ones.
Actually 3 of my friends watch it now because they caught it on NBC. They do not get HBO or Showtime.

PBC has been struggling to sell tickets and more times then not stuck giving them for free. And yet still a lot of their events have been totally empty. The Guerrero fight looked like only a 100 people showed up. lol

So sure... let Haymon continue to give away free tickets and continue to operate his cards at a huge loss. He only damages himself.
So true. But forget the lawsuits for a moment how long will Haymon's investors stay on board with all the money they are losing. They are making NOTHING at the gate and forced to give tickets away. They debuted with weak to mediocre ratings despite dumping multi millions in promotion. And since then their ratings have not gone up but instead gone down. They have no TV sponsors and with the ratings trending down I don't see how that turns around especially now that the lawsuits are filling up. So they are outbidding themselves for enormous fight purses most of which come in mismatched fights. They get no money from the networks to help pay those purses in fact it's opposite they pay the networks for the airtime. No money from the gate. No money from TV sponsors. There is no way Haymon's investors thought they would be incurring these kind of loses. If you read the tea leaves this is not going to end well for PBC.

Wrong again. Duva NEVER asked for a purse bid. It was Yvon Michel of GYM who refused any attempt to negotiate a fight and requested the purse bid after WBC declared Kovalev as the mandatory defense.

If you are going to throw crap around, at least get your facts straight.
