Comments Thread For: Marquez Reacts To Mayweather Rematch Rumors

As previously reported, former four division world champion Juan Manuel "Dinamita" Marquez is looking to have one more fight before retirement. Marquez (56-7-1, 40KOs) has been away from the ring since last May, when he won a twelve round unanimous decision over Mike Alvarado at The Forum in Los Angeles, California.

Marquez has made attempts to return in the last twelve months, but a lingering knee injury has continued to delay his plans. Several training camps have been disrupted by the injury.

After months of rehabilitation, Marquez will sit down with his doctor in a month's time and make a final decision on his career.

WTF?!!! Where are all this envy and jealousy coming from? Marquez, you lost in dominating fashion. You didn't win a round. Nobody protects Mayweather; he hits people with such clean punches it is hard to rob him. They tried with Dela Hoya and Canelo and couldn't rob him.

Pac only threw 429 punches and Landed 81, mayweather jr landed 81 Power punches. If they werent in Vegas the scores wouldve been worse. You know how good you have to be, to do that to PAC? PAC was the only hope of anyone beating him...

            just taking another victory lap...

If my memory serves me correctly, didn't Mayweather knock Marquez on his rear in the early rounds? That was an incredibly one sided fight, about as thoroughly as a future HOF fighter relatively close to his prime has ever been dominated.

LOL I doubt Marquez gets this last fight but if he does he's gonna lose 12-0 again. They could name it "Pacquiao's Daddy II"
