Pacquiao has started a new popular trend. It's now completely acceptable for boxers and their fans to be sore losers.

41-year-old Mexican legend Juan Manuel Marquez is no friend of Manny Pacquiao, but there’s also no love lost between him and Pacquiao arch-rival, Floyd Mayweather.

The four-division world champ from Mexico City is looking to have one more fight in a bid to become the first Mexican fighter to win world titles in five weight classes and his team has not excluded Mayweather from the list of possible foes. Although he was nearly shut out by Mayweather in their 2009 encounter, he’s says that he’s more than willing to entertain the idea of a rematch if the “conditions are acceptable.”

However, on the heels of Mayweather’s victory over Pacquiao on May 2, he expresses a real concern over whether he’d ever get a fair shake fighting Mayweather in Las Vegas.

"If that fight is proposed and the conditions are acceptable, then of course [I would do it]. But we all know how things are done when fighting Mayweather in Las Vegas. In that city the officials protect him, let him do everything. Fighting him there is a burden," Marquez told Boxingscene.

"Look, do you know how Mayweather can be beaten? Only by knockout, and how can you knock out an opponent who does not want to fight, who doesn't throw punches, and hits you with a jab and you may have won the round but they still give it to him."

Marquez’s concerns are nothing new and similar feelings have been expressed by many other Mayweather opponents in the past. Even Pacquiao, who Marquez feels got undeserved decisions over him because of Las Vegas favoritism, appears to feel the same about the city that has hosted Mayweather’s last 13 fights and 24 of his 48 professional bouts.

But, as everybody knows already, this is Mayweather’s world and anybody wanting a shot at knocking him off his pedestal (as well as the big money associated with the effort) must walk into Mayweather’s home to do it.

Marquez’s quest for his fifth divisional title will go on, regardless of whether a Mayweather rematch materializes or not. IBF champ Kell Brook of the UK is likely the most logical choice of opponents. The winner of the upcoming Timothy Bradley-Jessie Vargas contest for the vacant WBO belt is also a strong possibility.

Floyd fans forget that Marquez was fighting at 130 the year before fighting Floyd. Floyd didn't even go down to the initially contracted CW.

Floyd tries to beat you even before entering the ring. Then when in the ring, he knows the ref will only deduct points for his opponents. If the ref does not deduct points for his opponent then Floyd cries so that in the rematch, they get someone who will but at the same time, allow Floyd to do what the opponent was deducted a point for. Example Maidana got deducted a point for ....... elbowing. Like Floyd never elbows

Less than two years later after getting beat by Floyd, Marquez destroys PAC in the 7th rd with one punch.

So much for size issues and unproven intangibles

What a sore ass Marquez is. A truly great warrior and one of my favorite fighters to watch but outside of the ring he acts like such a tittybaby sometimes.
