The more I think about it the more I think GGG could do a number on him. froch is there to be hit and relies on his toughness too much. He's not gonna be able to outbox GGG like with King Artur, he's best shot is going to be coming forward and backing GGG up. problem with that is you're walking right into GGG's power. I don't think at this stage of his career froch will be able to sustain it and will probably get stopped late.

I've got a legacy, fame, fortune, beautiful family, I'm about to retire, it's not worth it."

        GGG TKO10
If you think that's how it will play out i don't think you know what Carl Froch is all about.

Damn... I didn't know Froch is this overlooked (or GGG overhyped?)
For me it's a 50-50 because Froch's toughness and size advantage

Froch is always the underdog in a big fight. I remember when he fought Bute, everyone was picking Bute to knock him out cold.

Lo and behold, Natas of all people dropped boxing knowledge and I hadn't thought about Froch and his mindset near retirement. If he's in a war, in an all out brutal fight, GGG has the mental edge I think, he's simply hungrier and that's going to be the difference in a 50/50 fight.

I don't know if I'm going to go with TKO, but I can see Froch doing enough to survive or fight to not get KO'd. I'm taking GGG in a close but clear win.
This is what makes this such a great fight to me. There are so many unknowns. I go back and forth lol. I can see it going this way, but then I think about how Froch is and I think it might just unleash his inner monster.

I agree, but he would have to move up, which I think he'll wait some time. I think Froch would want to go in against GGG, even though it's a tough fight, Carl has never backed down from a tough fight.

(In before Ward fans and their mad reasoning.)

                    Jab and then what?.

He's never been a jab-jab-grab kind of fighter and GGG is quite good at getting in trading range without being smothered/ clinched.

He doesn't have a top notch defense, he can't play the Whitaker of the situation with upper body movement.

He doesn't have the mobility or speed to move around like a Lara.

His best option in my opinion is to keep GGG on the defensive without getting reckless, stand his ground and possibly walk Gennady down later in the fight.

If Froch's jab has to be a factor, I think he'll have to use it in a more offensive fashion, stepping forward on it to set up other shots and prevent GGG from coming forward.

As for wanting the K.O. , nobody in their right mind would try to force GGG into an all out war (unless it's either that or lose a decision, maybe).
Yeah, well I remember the same being said about Arthur Abraham when he first came up. Strong as a bull, could punch your lights out with one punch. He might not have had the skills GGG has, I mean he definitely hasn't , but Abraham could probably punch harder I would say.

Regardless, Froch has 5" in reach on GGG and 2-3 inches in height. He is a bigger, stronger man. He punches you, it hurts. He's not Martin Murray or any of those average guys GGG has faced recently. A stinging Froch jab was enough to hurt and keep world champions like Kessler and Abraham away, I'm just not sure GGG has fought the caliber of opponent where I'm sure he'd be able to get away from Froch's punches.

But hey, I'm a fan of GGG. He's my type of fighter. Exactly like Carl Froch. Give you your money's worth. And he's obviously got a solid chin, doesn't take a step back and doesn't *** around. Like Froch.

Which is what makes me wanna see this fight. But if someone puts on a clinic for 12 rounds, I could only see it being Froch.

GGG got hit several times against Murray and Willie Munroe - I'd say their defences are about equal.
