GGG has never seen anything like Froch's jab and would probably feel it quite a bit. However, Froch likes a tear-up so I can't see him doing that for long. He would want to take GGG out to make a statement.
Jab and then what?.
He's never been a jab-jab-grab kind of fighter and GGG is quite good at getting in trading range without being smothered/ clinched.
He doesn't have a top notch defense, he can't play the Whitaker of the situation with upper body movement.
He doesn't have the mobility or speed to move around like a Lara.
His best option in my opinion is to keep GGG on the defensive without getting reckless, stand his ground and possibly walk Gennady down later in the fight.
If Froch's jab has to be a factor, I think he'll have to use it in a more offensive fashion, stepping forward on it to set up other shots and prevent GGG from coming forward.
As for wanting the K.O. , nobody in their right mind would try to force GGG into an all out war (unless it's either that or lose a decision, maybe).

Give you my take on it, GGG hit Groves harder in sparring than Froch did on fight night, and Groves himself said this when I was nearby listening to people ask him questions a few months back. He himself reckons Golovkin would be a different person on fight night and wouldnt want to be on the end of his punches with anything other than 16oz gloves.
I know GGG looks small as MW let alone SMW but his body frame and punching style can do the job between 154/168 anything above that is silly because a bigger guy is likely to have better punch resistance.

It's a very tough one to call. Until Golovkin shows he can crack at 168 I'd be reluctant to pick him over Froch. If Martin Murray went eleven rounds then I think a bigger, more experienced man like Froch can go the distance.
The really appealing thing about the fight is that they both prefer to fight at a similar range. Neither will want to fight on the inside, and neither will be looking for breathing space unless they're hurt. It's more or less guaranteed to be spectacular.

I'm fully on the GGG bandwagon and am not a fan of Froch personally.
However I'm surprised at the poll given Froch gets a good deal of respect on here. I think that he's been lucky with some of his wins, and gets over estimated for willingness to face anyone but he has a good chance in this one.
He's a tall SMW with a good jab and reasonable power, GGG has never really faced that and will find it a lot harder to walk him down.
Froch in fairness to him handled Abraham very intelligently and he could do the same thing to GGG in many ways. GGG doesn't leap in with his power shots too often, I think he'll have to sit on his punches less in order to tag Froch regularly.
I've got GGG in a decision just, but we'll have to see something different from him.

To those that are saying Golovkin's power won't carry up and Froch's chin is granite. The latter is true but Froch has been in a lot of wars and even the best chins get cracked. Now about GGG's power, Sergey Kovalev said he hits hard, Julius Jackson said he hits harder than the heavyweights he's sparred and he also dropped groves and reportedly broke his ribs in sparring. Canelo also sparred with him and mentioned his strength. Golovkins power will carry up.
Fun Fact: Golovkin dropped stopped Lucien Bute in the amateurs with headgear on, and he also outpointed:
-Daniel Geale
-Matvey Korobov
-Andy Lee
-Andre Direll
-Nikola Sjezloka
