    Mayweather the Narcissistic

Fact is that the Pacman is not a legit 147 pounder and truthfully should have never ventured past the 135 weight class as his frame and height would logically suggest. The mere fact that he competed in and has been successful in 147 and up to 154 says volumes of his over-all greatness. If Mayweather thinks he's so great by comparison have him go up to 160 and defeat GGG and then the vanity of his greatness would then be confirmed.

It will always be "Floyd beat a one-armed Pacquiao". Like it or no, it will always be that way unless they have a rematch with PAC fully recovered.
Arum knows there are some people desperate enough to believe it because their world fell apart on May 2nd. If it wasn't mentioned way after the fight, would ANYONE have suspected it? No honest person would say so. Pulling this masterstroke played on the weak minded who are demanding the very thing that'll make him more money. A rematch.

When Mayweather wins again in another anti-climactic fight, the injury excuse will be used again.

this is how i know pac fans are full of sht.. had manny won, this fight wouldn't be "boring" no more, it'll be the most epic night in history

had manny won, we would've never heard about an "injury"

if Floyd, after losing, brings up an injury as to why he lost, these fans wouldn't wanna hear it.. mannys win would not be tainted

these people wouldn't mind if manny had an uzi in the ring.. they wanted floyd to lose by any means .. "boring" means floyd won, because when pac beat clottey and shane in two dull fights, the word boring never came up

would pac fans care about Floyd's injury? would they even believe it? they know the answer.

Not that I know of but it's known. I've heard that Pernell stopped him in a session where Floyd was giving him fits. Pernell also sparred a young Zab and Zab used to give him a handful too.

Pernell win easy. Pernell has style and flash. In boring rounds, Pernell would win just by looking flashier. Pernell is just a more naturally gifted fighter than Floyd. Id love to see that fight as a boxing purist thought, especially as they are close size wise. There is no way in hell Floyd is going to get away with pot shotting Whitaker, he would miss every time. Floyd is one of the greats defensively, mainly through fighting smart, controlling range, and controlling what punches you can throw and when. Pernell is better, he could just see everything coming. You could throw a hand full of gravel at him and nothing would hit him.

It would be fascinating to see how Floyd responds to not being able to hit his opponent, since he is so use to landing 40-50% of his shots.

Id favor Duran over Floyd, especially if he took the fight serious.

SRL probably would have beaten him as well, bigger, faster, Charisma and flash in the ring that would steal rounds, and all the intangibles.

The problem with all the true great welterweights, is that they are all guys that are 5'10 - 6'0... Floyd doesn't fight guys that big ever.

Hearns was never outboxed by anyone especially in his prime. That lightning Jab, and reach, and speed and legs and power... He was terrifying at 147. That Leonard managed to beat him is remarkable. Floyd wouldn't have the power or the temperament to walk down and KO Tommy, or chase him down if he got up and boxed.

People think Khan would give Floyd problems... Hearns is Khan * 10.

Floyd is a great fighter, but his career has hinged on never taking a fight with anyone who can be competitive with him.

Its made him lots of money, but its also left us with RJJ taste in our mouth, except Floyd has none of the RJJ mind blowing physical attributes that would lead you to believe that he could apply everything he does to anyone.

Also I miss the era of the greats, when they didn't break fighters, the ref just pulled out guys arms when they were holding, without stopping the action.

It was pretty common knowledge before the fight that a win would be far bigger for Pac than it would for Floyd. Floyd was expected to win, and he did.
