Canelo saves boxing!!

It was a fun fight to watch. Last week my brother and his UFC friends were ****ting all over boxing. I told them to watch the Canelo fight, even they had to give it up for ginger and the atmosphere.
I was at the Trout fight in SA, almost made the trip for this one. If the Cotto fight goes down in Vegas I will be there.

People that hate Mayweather's style get suckered into buying his PPV's not me. This is the first Mayweather I've seen in years. Floyd is skillful at dodging punches I'll admit that, it's relax skills but running and hugging isn't skillful. Typical Flowmoe wants everyone to love the their man, I find his style boring like most people if that makes you upset sorry I'll send you a box of tissues. Floyd is the best in this decade but best ever haha he really lost to Castillo, struggled with Maidana and beat an out of prime De La Hoya by 1 round. Floyd and Manny lose to anyone of the fabulous four.

It was a great KO but people really need to stop saying certain fighters "saves" boxing and blablabla. Boxing will be fine with or without Canelo and his last performance.

People are very hypocritical. One day it is about the best fighting the best, but the next day a B class fighter knocking out an E class fighter is something to behold.

People put to much stock in Mayweather and Pacquiao being the 'be all and end all of boxing'. They're not, and never were.

They're great for the sport, it was a privilege to watch them in their prime..but boxing moves on, it always has.
For me, there are good fighters, and exciting fights out there to be made. Boxing is in good shape.

Casual fans won't buy into some of these fighters and fights around today..they're all about the 'fight of the century' and PPV numbers. But for the real fans..Boxing is in a good state right now.

Boxing only needs 'saving' for people who don't really watch the sport regularly anyway. And to be honest...who cares about them anyway.

definitely an improvement from last week, although when i see a guy like kirkland, i feel like the sport gets a bit of a bad rep just because of how bummish he fights, those crappy punches he was throwing half of the time was horrible, no defense, no skill and dissapointed in canelo a bit, he showed fatigue way too early

If you can't beat someone good look impressive, and it really doesn't matter who you fight someone will become a believer.

Ever hardcore fans here jump on impressive looking wins not caring the what,when,why,who.

So it is not exactly wrong, but this is hype building not actual accomplishment. As a fan of boxing I care about accomplishment not hype.

If canelo had fought floyd like he did kirkland then he'd have gotten ktfo by floyd but would have earned respect.

If manny had fought floyd like he did hatton, same thing.

What's sad is these men betray themselves, their skills, and their fans when they fight floyd. They don't deserve to be praised when they then make an effort against lower caliber opponents.

Fans remember When you don't give your best when fighting the best more than they do beating up a lower level opponent.

Excuses?? Even though I thought the fight was closer than the scores indicated Floyd got the win in the record book he's 48-0 he is the best in the decade and to add to it the best defensive fighter ever but I personally and a majority find his style of run, hugging, and weak pot shots boring. I have to be like a flowmoe now and say he's the best ever to make you happy GTFO of here. Like I said I won't be buying the next Mayweather fight I haven't ordered one in many years I only saw his last one because I'm a Pacquiao fan. I won't get suckered in like other people with the saying "I'm going to fight toe to toe, I want to give the fans what they want" haha.
