Canelo saves boxing!!

    Canelo won't save boxing, but he will be one of about 10 who will emerge to redefine the landscape of boxing once Floyd leaves.

    Right now, Mayweather is king, and his whole presence ****s up the sport in a lot of ways - the flop mega-fights where he has no onus to actually entertain (), the fact WW won't fight each other but would rather wait on a chance on the Mayweather sweepstakes (Khan), the increasing prevalence of his current god-awful style (clinching, non-engagement).

    We need to get over our fear of May/Pac leaving the sport and it never recovering.

    Remember in 2008-2009 when Floyd was retired? We had some truly amazing fights. No politics, just straight killer match-ups.

        props to both guys. kirkland didn't take a beating for too many rounds. the kncokout isn't good for his career, but it's not like he was grinded down and stopped over 10 rounds.

              they refer to ppv buys on defining the level of a fight....

              ...forgetting that ppvs are "sold before" the fights happen....

              ppvs got nothing to do with what then happens in the ring..
