Mayweather-Pacquiao fight is the fight to get the ball rolling on boxing again. Boxing is back. It's going to be like how it was 30 years ago.
Are sponsors going to give Al Hayon over $400 million before the start of PBC? Because that's what investors did.
You seem like you want PBC to fail. Which is not the viewership PBC cares about. They don't care about the complainers and whiners that most likely won't spend on a dime on anything.
Why do you think there are people with big bucks sitting in the front rows at fight night? Because they care if PBC is or is not losing money? No, they come to see a boxing match because they respect the sport and the athletes in the ring.
PBC is building boxers into household names and then going after the viewers that want to see household named boxers fight.
You can’t see the forest for the trees.
& I'm pretty sure Al Hayon is tappin' that ass of Kathy Duva's.
They spent many times more than the average ESPN card and only got about 250k more viewers than the most recent FNF card. There is no household names that are gonna come out of PBC. Haymon's two most marketable fighters outside of Floyd, DSG and Chavez Jr., both had underwhelming performances. The only other guy who could possibly become a real draw is Wilder but he has almost no chance to become the main guy at HW as long as Klitschko is around.
In order for Haymon to keep his investors/sugar daddies on board he would have to generate several billion dollars in revenue for them to start seeing a return on those $432 million, so advertisers, ratings, and ticket sales do matter. Without them PBC won't continue to operate when the investor money runs out.

Even the Verdejo fight on Solo Boxeo sold 6,000 tickets with thousands of people turned away because they had no more seats available, and that was to watch him beat up a tomato can. The PBC on Spike show was a world championship doubleheader, and it only had 569k viewers.

What you guys are debating about how PBC is failing is how UFC fans were saying boxing is dead for years. Yet, Mayweather - Pacquiao are expected to destroy PPV records. PBC started a month ago.
