As soon as Wilder won the belt, HBO positioned themselves to block the fight.

Rubbish. HBO can't stop Wlad fighting who he wants to fight.

Haymon will stop this fight from happening and protect Wilder from serious challengers while he milks that WBC belt for all it's worth.

Wilder has beaten one top ten opponent and now Wlad needs him for his legacy?

        LOL

Wilder is the one wanting the fight. Wladimir said no because of mandatories he must fulfill.

            People aren't ******

Labelling Wilder as 'the' Heavyweight champion of the world is playing casual fans as fools

But i'm pretty sure people know some russian guy is the universally recognised world Heavyweight champion, even if they don't know who he is exactly

Wilder is a top 5 heavyweight with a WBC title, nothing more. He might go on to achieve more but he hasn't. He's beaten Stiverne, who's best win is Arreola, and his 2nd best win is Arreola. If Stiverne didn't have the WBC title noone would care, learn to look past it...

And Stiverne needed to come from behind (down 6-3 on a pair of cards) to beat 40 year old Ray Austin, who had already been destroyed in 2 by Wlad and handily beaten by Solis. Apart from Austin and Arreola, who always falls short at the top, Stiverne has beaten no one of note.

Again, a big LOL at Wlad needing Wilder for his legacy. Wilder is hardly more proven, if at all, then Jennings is and several other of Wlad's opponents were. What should matter is the quality of opposition someone fights, how they beat them, and how sustained their success is, not whether they have some belt they can wrap around their waist.
