Stiverne is garbage, he was stopped by a journeyman, and his only reasonable accomplishment was beating a flat slob in Arreola who was perfectly suited to his style.

He's the ONLY name that Wilder has fought and suddenly Wlad needs to fight Wilder for validation? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Yeah the notion that Wlad needs Wilder is insane, really.

I do hope it happens however.

Lyle Fitzsimmons recently won a BWAA award. No idea how because he's completely clueless.

Wilder and Joshua are the bests after Wlad, they would wipe out the whole division however there would be some competitive match ups maybe with Plev and Povetkin. But imo right now Wld, Wilder, Joshua >any other HW.
Soon there will be a Povetkin-Perez fight I think Povetkin will win and then probably in late fall there will be a Povetkin-Wilder. I expect Wilder to beat him and then nobody will say that he is unproven or a bum.

And stop the whining about the article, you're pathetic. I'm European and have no problem with it.

Wilder wouldn't even be Wlad's best win in the last five years. Ridiculous to suggest that Wlad needs a fighter with one good win on to secure his legacy.

Clueless or cynical? Maybe somebody is paying him to hype Wilder. Wouldn't surprise me.

Interesting that the real, and only, reason that Wlad needs him at all - because Wilder has the WBC belt - was thrown in as a BTW by Fitzsimmons, after the bull**** about Deontay's "Tyson-esque KO mystique"

I'm wondering if Wlad/Wilder would be a bigger fight than Wlad/Jennings was, at this point.

Can any of you US fans tell me, is Wilder known to the wider American public now, outside of boxing fans? Would the average man in the street know who he was?

Outside of boxing fans? F**k no. The average US sports (non-boxing) fan would have no clue who Wilder is.
