Apparently HBO won't host Cotto's next fight unless Canelo is guaranteed next.

Problem is, Cotto never offered a choice. He never offered much of anything other than "wait around and if I dont get the Floyd fight then maybe I'll fight you in June, or maybe not". Had Cotto put an actual offer on the table for a June fight, I have no doubt Canelo would have accepted it. Yes, he preferred May 2, but everyone knew that the cable distributors would not do duelling ppv's, so everyone accepted that if Floyd-Pac got made, Canelo's fight would have to move, regardless of who he was fighting.

And taking all that into account, did Cotto put a solid offer on the table? NO he did not. So Canelo moved on. Same thing he did when Floyd wanted to have Canelo on his undercard without guaranteeing him the next fight. Canelo said "take a hike".

Like him or not, Canelo makes his own decisions and doesnt take any nonsense
    you forget one thing

Cotto isn't going to compete for a ppv date with floyd. That wouldn't maximize his $$$. "Im fighting cinco de mayo no matter what"- Canelo
"well move the fight if floyd fights pacquiao"-ODH

Ok.... and if floyd doesn't fight pacquiao? itll be floyd vs ??? ..... again do you think that cotto is going to compete ppvs in a cinco de mayo weekend with floyd?

If Floyd wants the September PPV date, it's his. Floyd/Cotto 2. Pacquiao is not moving up to 155, and that's the only fight that could challenge Floyd/Cotto 2. Canelo will be fighting Clottey on free HBO just in hopes of spiting Floyd and Cotto.

So much for taking back those dates.

Exactly idiot he fought Mayweather and pacquiao two fighters better than Canelo so why would he duck him?

You do know that promoters reserve those dates at certain venues right? Good for Verdejo, he'll eventually leave arum just like everyone else does.

If that's what you think fine, I know what my karma comments say that's all I care about, certainly not what you or anyone else thinks.

                      Did he?

"He signed because he liked what Roc Nation offered. I am told that besides whatever money for his fights and other stuff they will do for his promotional company and whatever else he wants to do they paid him a very large signing bonus. I do not know if it's true but I heard they gave him $5 million. Unofficial!"
