But he's fighting Peterson who already got blasted by Mattyhsee and it's a bogus catchweight so neither belt is on the line and the loser gets to keep their championship status. Why not fight Mattyhsee again, or fight Broner, or fight Thurman? Or Herrera the man who whooped his butt last year. Or just any creditable fighter at 147. Why is he still holding a belt at 140 when he can't even make that weight and he has Haymon paying people off to step aside as a mandatory challenger
He is in the process of moving up in weight, Peterson is a credible fight, a good fight with two top guys. Broner is the only other guy to beat at 140, that fight would be huge and SHOULD happen. I say haymon is doing alright, time will tell but it seems good for boxing.

Im not sure how to feel about PBC but one good thing I noticed is theyre not showing any meaningless belts, they are only recognizing true world championships

Definitely an extension of Floyd hate. The same reason they started hating Showtime and supporting whatever Bob Arum said lol. ****ING. PATHETIC.

          CBS/SHO, NBC/NBCSN, ABC/ESPN/ESPN Deportes/ESPN3.com, Spike, Bounce TV.

Al Haymon is really taking care of the American boxing fans.

Good news for Australian fans as espn is the only foghts shown here that's aren't ppv.

I applaud the change simply because for the past few years FNF's has showed some really sorry a$$ cards. I often thought that ESPN should have pooled their money and showed one good card a month instead of four bad ones. My only problem is that I will still have to listen to the "taken him into a bad neighborhood" nonsense that comes out of Teddy Atlas's mouth. Oh well, it can't all be perfect and I wish Al Haymon luck because I truly believe he will need it.

All I can think of is the new influx of pure ******s to NSB who'll think they're experts after seeing Keith Thurman beating some bum on ESPN.

For those that don't know, FNF has in recent memory been pretty much a PBC event. Almost all of the top fighters that frequent it are already signed to Haymon.

Kell Brook decided to fight Thurman?

By the way, the only title I consider a champion title is the Super or Full championship title of a division. The others are there only to give fans an idea of the line of succession of mandatory challengers.
okay and the full WBA Welterweight Champ is Floyd Mayweather .... while Thurman is the WBA regular champ ... the fact that the WBA milks 2 titles in the division just because Mayweather is a unified champ is bad enough

I'm still on the fence regarding this PBC thing ... good to see ESPN added along with Spike/NBC/ABC

and while these TV deals might only benefit Haymon's large stable of boxers, people need to look at the bigger picture ... that March 6th NBC card was the first fight they aired in 30 years

I'd like the sport as a whole to do well, but realistically that won't happen, because not all fighters/weight divisions are as exciting and not everyone can be a star

hopefully PBC can put on compelling/interesting fights that'll keep the viewers coming back for more
