Floyd didn't want to fight Margarito. Its as simple as that. He was made available and was also kept hanging many months until Floyd picked Baldomir.

A few years back, after the plaster incident, Floyd said in an interview that he knew that there was something wrong about Margarito and that is why he never wanted to fight him. So kinda proves that he ducked him.

Even if Floyd did what shane did it wouldnt work he aint as strong as Shane or hit hard enough....Floyd would have to run for his life to beat him....and we all know Tony aint gonna stop coming

Floyd by a wide desicion. Plaster or not Shane out boxed Margarito with ease. Floyd probably would break his hand at some point but I still think he would be winning the rest of the rounds running and pot shotting.

Margarito mind was all mess up for that fight after they found Plaster, Margarito kills Floyd with those Plaster he leaves Floyd like Gerald Mclleam a vegetable

All these "if's and's or but's" always surround Mayweather. I'm not a big fan of his by any means, but he's an all-time great and I'm able to admit that. Margarito stands absolutely no chance against him, I'm sorry to say. I don't care what version you are talking about.

Can we finally enjoy this Pacquiao-Mayweather fight and quit hypothesizing about how Floyd "might have" lost at some point? Getting tired of this garbage. Give the guy his credit. Win or lose vs. Pac, he is a legend.

Styles make fights and I am of the firm belief that Margarito would walk through everything Floyd threw, smile and punish him, and potentially stop him. He also had a significant size and reach advantage and a pretty good gas tank.
