Floyd Mayweather vs. Antonio Margarito (with plaster) May 3, 2008 - who wins?

All these "if's and's or but's" always surround Mayweather. I'm not a big fan of his by any means, but he's an all-time great and I'm able to admit that. Margarito stands absolutely no chance against him, I'm sorry to say. I don't care what version you are talking about.

Can we finally enjoy this Pacquiao-Mayweather fight and quit hypothesizing about how Floyd "might have" lost at some point? Getting tired of this garbage. Give the guy his credit. Win or lose vs. Pac, he is a legend.

Those "if's and's or but's" exist for a reason. With guys like Duran and Ali, we know exactly what they are capable and incapable of because they fought everyone they were supposed to fight(Ali possibly went beyond), with guys like Mayweather people will always wonder. You can probably rate Mayweathers's skills and easily give him in ATG status, he is a very skilled boxer, but anyone who believes it's only about skills knows very little about boxing and even less about fighting, there others intangibles like heart, desire, etc. You can't blame people for wondering, and Margarito is a terrible style matchup for Mayweather just like Williams would have been.

Margarito could probably beat Mayweather without plaster wraps.

In my head, I'm visualizing Margarito doing to Mayweather what Maidana did to Mayweather in round one, except for twelve grueling rounds... if it even gets to twelve.

In fact, Antonio could probably literally stick his chin out and let Mayweather tee off on it and nothing would happen.

To this day, we still don't know how great Margarito's chin was. He could have probably lasted four rounds or more against Mike Tyson.

marg can't beat mosley.

mosley is fast enough to get off first AND strong enough to hold/push marg preventing him to get off.

marg can break down pac depending on how much damage pac takes.

but pac is a fast, quick lil energizer bunny who loves a scrap so i can see a replay of pac-marg 2010 even in 2007-2008.

pac can be koed with a good punch he doesn't see. but marg is so slow, wide and big pac will see all his punches coming.
