If your kid is in amateur boxing and studies his fights that's one thing, but no an illiterate abuser of women shouldn't be a damn role model.

Can anyone name one positive aspect of Floyd besides his boxing ability? I seriously have never seen anything that makes me think, well he's actually not that bad of a guy.

For the record, I think Floyd is an *******. But personally, outside of the hour or two he entertains me in the boxing ring yearly, I don't really give a **** what he does. The only thing Floyd owes me, or anyone else, is to show up and perform when we buy a ticket to or order one of his fights. The reality is, as pathetic a human being as Floyd appears to be. All of you who seem to almost take it personally how a complete stranger wants to live his life are about 10x more pathetic.

In the ring both are role models, outside neither.

                Isn't his brother a ****??
                Didn't Manny impregnate a **********?

Dude is seriously talking about who should be a role model. He needs to check his own camp before even talking about anyone else. The sad thing is Mayweather has been respectful this whole time and, Freddie is doing a lot of talking but he won't be in the ring.

A real leap of logic there innit?

I understand anything they can do to get Mayweather to fight instead of box because they know that's the only chance. And this is the concern I have. Floyd boxes to an easy victory and is chastised.

That's all fine and well. I tend to agree with the above when it comes to Hollywood actors. I think it's spot on. I have no interest what an actor does outside of the movie and don't follow any gossip media about their every move. All I care about is the role they play in a movie and that's it. I don't hang around in Hollywood A-list actors forums to talk about it.

However, this does not apply to boxing. None of us are casuals by the mere fact that we post in a boxing forum and one of the fun things is rooting for a certain fighter that you like or can relate to, and rooting against another fighter that you may hate or dislike. If you strip out that criteria, then all we are is a bunch of blood thirsty Roman's at the colosseum watching for the Gladiators to rip each other apart for our amusement.

Floyd knows this too. If marketing yourself wasn't a important part of boxing, he wouldn't be putting on this "Money Mayweather" persona for everyone to see. Floyd wants to be hated and I say good. People hate you, and now lets see you lose.
