But Floyd is the bad guy?

It's ironic how so many Floyd critics have skeletons in their closet but they accuse Floyd of being the bad person lol. I don't really care for the guys persona outside of the ring either but come on... It reminds me of this scene from Scarface:
Do good people have to be perfect in your book? You sound like an ignorant 20 something. You do realize that it's much easier to be an ****** and then do something good once in a while to win people over than to be a nice person while your cynical detractors are waiting for you to be fallible.

You realize that Floyd is a complete PHONY at being a badazz, right? He wishes he was Tony Montana! But in reality, he's genuinely a vain, superficial spoiled brat that puts his hands on women. That seems to be his true character.

I don't hang around in Hollywood A-list actors forums to talk about it.

However, this does not apply to boxing. None of us are casuals by the mere fact that we post in a boxing forum and one of the fun things is rooting for a certain fighter that you like or can relate to, and rooting against another fighter that you may hate or dislike. If you strip out that criteria, then all we are is a bunch of blood thirsty Roman's at the colosseum watching for the Gladiators to rip each other apart for our amusement.

Floyd knows this too. If marketing yourself wasn't a important part of boxing, he wouldn't be putting on this "Money Mayweather" persona for everyone to see. Floyd wants to be hated and I say good. People hate you, and now lets see you lose.
Do "a bunch of blood thirsty Romans" who get a kick out of watching two guys "rip each other apart" for their amusement have the credibility to judge anyone else's character? That's like the darkness of night calling the kettle black right there. Boxing and its violent nature makes it impossible to be a sport for role models. My daughter isn't even allowed to watch boxing or any other violent television program. I think that other parents should think critically about whether they should allow their kids to be exposed to violence as a form of entertainment also.

Wow bruh... that's pretty racist of you to have missed that.
When has Pacquiao had problems with racism? The world loves him.

More times than not, I watch fights with no real rooting interest. And it doesn't take anything away from the entertainment value. And I usually develop a rooting interest as the fight plays out. More times thsn not. If I don't have a fav in the fight, I'll usually root for a black fighter if he's fightimg someone from another race. And more times than not. If I'm rooting against someone, its because I don't like the fanbase of the fighter. I say all that to say a fighter's lufestyle or public persona has ZERO to do with me liking pr disliking him.

Why are we looking at boxers as role models. Kids want to be like them in the ring sure but looking up to a boxer as a role model is dumb. Most boxers aren't role model material, pac included

Even mr golden boy Oscar isn't a good role model lol. They're ***ing boxers

Freddie wants to get some kind of a moral victory before the fight so that if his fighter loses, he can say at least Pacquiao is a better person.

A real successful young black man always pisses off white America, just because he doesn't have a fake image doesn't make him a bad person, who would've thought that guys like Sugar Ray Leonard or Oscar Dela Hoya were doing *******? who could believe that Pacquiao was out there ****ing bimbos and ******** all night long in Vegas one day? At least Floyd is real about it, I think Floyd is actually very inspirational to kids coming from tough upbringings because he himself was one, he was nothing and he became something, he paid his dues and he deserves to have the freedom to do whatever he ever wanted to do. He got to where he got to by working hard and dedicating himself, you're never born with this kind of skillset, you're not born with this great conditioning, you'r not always in great shape by default, you have to work and work more than everybody else to get these things, and this is not the toughest part, the toughest part is keeping up this work ethic even when you have all the money in world, to train like you don't have a dime even though you have everything, longevity! Nobody has ever been called P4P best fighter in the world at the age of 38 before, nobody was on or near the top of the P4P list for like 17 years straight! To me this is inspirational especially considering the fact that his dad went to prison and his mom was addicted to drugs when he was growing up!

Pac and floyd have their faults, theyre somewhere in between the best role models and the worst. Atleast they are not coke heads and blowing up 40 pounds between fights.

How many of the top stars were cokeheads? SRL, DLH, Tyson, Hatton, Calzaghe, Whitaker, Chavez, and thats just off the top of my head.

I find it hilarious how people call Floyd out for his **** (he's a public figure so you know his dirty laundry) but if THEIR faults were shown to the world they would shut the mother**** up.

At the end of the day SO WHAT. This isn't a movie. The "bad guy" is going to kick the "good guy's" ass.
