The fighters have nothing to be ashamed of. Pascal is paying for his own tests, with WADA, I think. Kovalev has said he will give blood samples to VADA, if he is asked to. The fact that he isn't going to be asked to is not Kovalev's problem.

Nobody expects athletes in other sport to police themselves for PED abuse, so why should we expect boxers to do it? It's the sports governing bodies who should be sorting this out, not the fighters.

Lies. The athletic commission is still testing the fighters, there is no addtional testing.

I think Pascal looks bad here. He keeps asking why Kovalev is so fixated with VADA, but the same could be said for him with USADA. It almost looks like he's sponsoring USADA instead of just promoting more stringest testing for boxing. He acts like him proposing the testing (after the contracts are signed! ) is like him taking someone on a date, in which he chooses the place because he's paying. This is a business decision and the champion has the right to negotiate. Kovalev actually came back with a more efficient proposition, and with a company that has a better track record catching boxers cheating (Which I believe is the whole point of the more stringent testing).

I personally don't care who does the testing, but I do know Memo doesn't trust VADA and coincidentally his fighters haven't used it as far as I know. Taking into account his history and how much he's against it, I just think he doesn't trust his fighters to come up clean with VADA.

Hey dummy where did I say Pascal was using USada??? I see reading comprehension is not your strong suit ******. I was talking about the need to mention usada in this article. Do you even read or do you jump straight into the comment section to be a tough guy?

Wow I'm surprised by this comment. I just wonder how this would be received if this was Floyd or even Chavez Jr.

Both guys are obviously on something smh. Not surprised though, roids practically grow on trees in Europe, too easy to get. 99% of Russian athletes are doping, it's a fact, they just pay off whoever they have to.

German documentary covered it, not even the Olympics are safe.

Pascal isn't using USADA and has never used USADA. He proposed a Canadian anti-doping agency that is WADA-compliant. Basically, an alternative equivalent to VADA and USADA. Being that the agency he wants follows the same WADA code, there is nothing wrong with the agency he wants. All these agencies do is just take samples and send them for testing to a WADA-accredited lab for results.

None of Heredia's fighters have used USADA or VADA. But Marquez did use NSAC's advanced random drug testing, which is another equivalent alternative to USADA and VADA.

What Kovalev is proposing, I disagree, mostly because he's unwilling to pay for it. If you are unwilling to pay for it, you shouldn't really have a say on what agency gets used.

All Kovalev is saying is that if he is going to be tested, he wants it to be done by VADA, not the other agency Pascal uses.
I guess you say he called Pascal's bluff, and threw in a challenge of his own - if we are going to do it, let's do it properly.
