Official Floyd Mayweather- Manny Pacquiao Postfight aftermath discussion

it was a watchable technical boxing match, but for the event/fight that it was, it was a disgrace and a joke.
I just have a very low opinion of the way both men fought. Floyd fought just to sc**** by, didn't press any action, knowing theres no way he was going to lose in Vegas on points.
Manny just didn't want it badly enough. He felt Floyds power and wasn't keen on it, and let Mayweather slip away stealing the rounds with his pot shots.
It was just a joke and summed up everything that is wrong with boxing. Neither man deserved a fcuking cent for the way they fought, yet they made the biggest purses of all time

There must be a bill made that having close to 200 million dollars in prize money, the said boxer has an obligation to perform with the mind set of being a real fighter in the ring and not a fighter who just wants to survive and win on points.Last edited by Spoon23; 06-14-2015, 02:55 PM.

I believe he did he performed above and beyond a one handed fighter can deliver that night. With one effective hand he did what he could. That said, everything wrong that can happen to boxing in the biggest stage happened that night. No one won that night and a big black eye for boxing.

Truth is Pacquiao is a true warrior and champion who just wasn't the better man that night. True boxing fans can respect that but if you're just a fan of one man who happens to box it's been very tough to handle.

So he stood back an boxed with Mayweather because that's all that he could do. It was enjoyable to watch for me, although it was no slug fest.

Real atg super fights shows brovado and skill working side by side. Floyd ran away with 200 million and performed like a ***** running from a one handed fighter. It is what it is.. And he got booed to death for it. He didnt deserve a cent of that 200 million he got. Pac showed heart and skill, floyd showed how to be a vagina. Huge difference.

Great post.........

So while not at his physical peak, Pacquiao is definitely at his mental peak when it comes to being a boxer.

Great post here. Manny has never been smarter in the ring. He out-countered the counter puncher. He landed the cleaner, harder punches as well. Floyd bought the testing agency, ref, and judges. He said it would be an exciting fight. He said he would walk Manny down and punish him to the body. Did he even attempt to do any of that? Manny didn't have to throw 800-1000 punches at Floyd. Why? Because he is as skilled as Floyd. This is what fooled the people, the commentators, and the judges. They underestimated Manny's ring IQ. With two good hands, he might stop Floyd!
