What's really sad is this is the fight the whole world was watching. People who never saw manny fight before now have that impression of him and the sport.
I just hope that boxing fans hold manny accountable for this. His reluctance to engage, unwillingness to try and win, and the shameful and embarrassing excuse making afterwards hurt the sport.
For all floyd's ******ed money act, he fights to win everytime. He never is in it just for the check. Manny, who has always claimed not to be in it for the money, fought like he wanted the check and nothing else.
Who'd ever thought that manny would do that? Who'd ever thought he'd bring this much shame?
I guess all his other accomplishments will lessen this over time. I'm just really disappointed. I was counting on him to keep fighting.
i blame roach.
manny has always been a tough dude before.
i think it was how roach wanted him to fight.
remember jmm 3? he had manny boxing a superior boxer jmm too.
Pacquiao would have ran into the same straight right hand from mayweather being reckless like that. There was never a time in Pacquiaos career he WOULDNT run into that punch. I know i am entertaining a straight up troll, but mayweather would have elicited the same gameplan and landed the same punch at any point if they fought.
Very possible. But Floyd would have had to withstand a big onslaught.
That version of Pacquaio was still the second best fighter in the world and the guy alot of you said Floyd was scared of and would lose to. You knew that before the fight yet after the fight its being used as an excuse.
Is Floyd passed it? Is Floyd old? It's delusion to suggest otherwise to that aswell.
Pacquiao and Roach's biggest mistake was that they didn't listen to my advice.
I know Roach reads these boards, I was saying Manny should come in 148 so he's lighter and faster, 152 is a disgrace and unprofessional.
Throw caution to the wind and sell out if you can't catch him, but alas Pac was already almost killed so why risk it again? He has nothing more to prove.
Some people would say Marquez figured out Manny after round 1 in their first fight. Sure he got knock down three times in round 1, but he came back and could of beat Manny if it weren't for the KDs.
Marquez' comeback was amazing. Thats a W for him in my book.
But what JMM did was more adjusting to Manny then figuring him out.
JMM still took way too much punishment from Manny to say he figured him out.
