It's not a debate, hes the best ever and anyone that denies is hating.
He could've stayed retired after hatton and would still be the GOAT. After seeing his beating of genaro hernandez, I knew he was already the best athlete the world has ever seen. When he slapped the **** out of Gatti, i knew i was in love.

And is there another opponent out there that could catapult them higher?
Head to head and talent wise at their peak, those two are tough for any fighter in history within their best weight class.
A lot of people overlook that these two are no longer in th heir primes and have moved up multiple divisions.
They were both at their best in lower weight classes. The fact they have been successful with the weight jump is great in itself.
There are only a handful of fighters who have won champions at 135 and 147. That's a tough transition.
It also annoys me when I see people saying things like "Duran would have killed Mayweather!" No he wouldn't have. It would have been a tough fight for both at 130-135.
As far as what they could do to enter top 10? One beating the other moves them much closer. Retiring with another signature win would make a strong case for the top 10 in my opinion. I think years after retirement fighters are much more appreciated.Last edited by joseph5620; 02-10-2015, 10:56 AM.

I saw a lot people say they would give Mayweather credit if he fought or beat Mosley after the Margarito vs Mosley fight.
Well it sure didn't turn out that way after the fight. Nothing but excuses now. Margarito would have been the same thing.
Margarito was not good enough to be called career defining. Jose Luis Castillo was a better win and fighter. If that didn't do it, Margarito wouldn't either.Last edited by joseph5620; 02-10-2015, 11:11 AM.

if Floyd beats Pacquiao with like a 117-111 even 116-112 type of win.. Floyd goes up in the rankings big time.

He deliberately took time out from the sport when it the WW division was packed with prime fighters that were a real threat AND when he was arguably at his prime.
Then he comes back (because he may go broke) - and its all cherry pick, health comes first, rich coward BS.
He has taken a lot form the sport that has given him everything - yet gives nothing back but BS.
Top 40 ATG.
And I am being kind...
