This man kidnapped a ex gf put her in a room where she couldn't leave, and told her his body guards would run a train on her. Comparing that to **** fighting or cheating or ******** is outrageous.
Not saying that it didn't happen but you're spewing it like some form of gospel.
In America people are innocent until proven guilty.Last edited by Espy; 02-04-2015, 09:15 PM.

You see I dont care if Manny kills chickens for sport , screws whores , robs parliament or anything else he does in his private life , I dont care that Floyd was convicted of assault or poked a parking attendant with his finger , I dont care that Tyson was convicted of **** , I dont care that Ray Robinson was a chronic woman basher , or that Joe louis beat women , I dont care that Jack Johnson screwed 14yr olds .
You have not lived enough of life to judge these men .
What they do in the context of boxing is all that I care about .

with that said, even if gloves give someone a .01 percent edge, we dont know how it affects these athletes who are at the top of the game. that .01 percent could be the straw that breaks the camels back.
Regardless, whatever p-value you choose to select, gloves simply do not influence the final outcome of this many fights.

You said something that is simply not fact at this point in time and I was pointing that out. I wasn't challenging Floyd's muddied past with domestic violence.
I was challenging your sensationalism and inability to remove bias from the scenario. You are convicting the man based on separate events.
I sure as hell hope that you are never called for jury duty.

Statisticians typically use a 5% p value when calculating statistical significance, meaning that in order to be statistically significant glove selection would have to be the deciding factor in 5% of total fights.

even if statistically it means nothing, is everything really measurable in sports? things like the boxers feeling, confidence, timing. like i said ive never been the best in the world at anything so i dont know if or how much gloves could affect anything.

Floyd was just throwing a sissy fit again.
It was a **** move to not simply allow Maidana to just use a pair of generic red Everlast MX gloves, but that's a different conversation.
