    simple thought process.

The networks have to come to an agreement. Mayweather is on board.

Floyd said "While they continue to lie about making the fight... I'm just going to continue to travel and explore the world on my private jet."

Since when did you hear he's on board?

All this media BS is irrelevant. Had 6 years of that ****. I expect them to get in the gym in the next few weeks with the cameras rolling on their training footage.

        Nothing else.
This. Enough of the drama and womanly twitter exchanges. These two drama queens need to start training and provide the fans with real updates from the gym.

Correction. Only one guy is being a drama queen and that is Floyd.

i think both fighters want the fight but in the grand scheme of things, hbo could care less if this fight happens. Hbo and showtime are rivals, showtime loses money, pacquiao has more time before his next fight, pacquiao is winning pr battle. These i think we can all agree on.
What that means though is hbo has leverage in the negotiation battle. If the fight does not happen, their side can claim Mayweather punked out and still do decent with a Pacquiao PPV. HBO will not profit from that fight but they also lose nothing, while showtime has to put out a PPV with a Mayweather who is perceived by the public as a duck, regardless of truth, and most likely lose money. Showtime has the more popular fighter but they are overpaying and losing money while HBO has the less popular fighter but paid less so they are breaking even or better. And hbo can play the waiting game because pacquiao plan b fights later.
Think about it in this way and you can see how this is such a nightmare. Forget about all the bull**** and lies. What it basically comes down to is HBO has showtime bent over the desk and showtime has to decide how deep its gonna go. Both Mayweather and Pacquiao should tell their networks to take L and make the fight happen but both sides dont want to take the L for themselves in having to capitulate to the other.

now back to the fight...the excuse as to why Manny hasnt had a ko since he's been doing drug testing is, he's facing welterweights who havent been ko'd before. floyd obviously has never been ko'd or kd. and he's facing the best defense he's ever seen. but the tards think he's gonna ko floyd, lol he's gonna get tested for this fight, so no ko for manny. Manny is not and I repeat NOT gonna outbox Floyd ask Canelo. so if he cant ko floyd or OUTBOX HIM, how the f*** is he gonna win? Floyd is gonna put on a show and display why he's the greatest fighter of this generation, the only excuse was he hasnt fought Manny to prove it. After he thoroughly outclasses Manny and possibly stops him, he will be recognized as one of or possibly TBE book it

They are going to wait until Floyd has to choose another opponent, then say they tried to make the fight but Floyd didn't want it. All this is media bullying against Floyd they are trying to make it seems as if its been Floyd's fault cause he's so hated

By Chris Williams (January 28, 2015):

Michael Koncz, the close personal adviser for wealthy Filipino star Manny Pacquiao, says he looked Floyd Mayweather Jr in the eyes last night when the two of them met in a Miami hotel room with Pacquiao, and he could tell that Mayweather is truly sincere about wanting to fight Pacquiao on May 2nd.

Koncz approached Mayweather earlier in the evening when he was at the Miami Heat game, and he asked him to meet with Pacquiao for a brief introduction.

Before that, the two fighters had never met each other in person. During the meeting, Mayweather towered over the shorter and smaller Pacquiao, and it looked like the two guys didn’t belong in the same weight class due to Pacquiao’s lack of size.

Pacquiao is still game for the fight even though he’ll be smaller than Mayweather. However, there won’t be a catch-weight handicap for Pacquiao in this fight like there was for him against Miguel Cotto, Oscar De La Hoya and Antonio Margarito.

“Floyd met with us and how can I say he’s not sincere. I believe he’s sincere,” Koncz said via Fighthype.com. “I don’t have anything to contradict the fact that he’s not sincere. We looked eye to eye, we talked and I truly believe he’s sincere and wants to make the fight happen…It’s evident by his actions last night and I have no reason to doubt that…He is sincere and that he wants the fight to happen.”

This is actually kind of funny. Koncz is really into the concept of analyzing whether Mayweather is sincere or not about wanting to fight his employer Pacquiao. I wonder what Mayweather’s take was when he looked at Koncz and Pacquiao’s eyes to tell if they were sincere or not about really wanting the fight?

It is kind of troubling that Pacquiao has been asking Mayweather to sign a contract that still doesn’t exist yet. How does Mayweather sign a contract that still hasn’t been created? Staring Mayweather down to rate his sincerity is a waste of a time. If Mayweather wasn’t interested then he wouldn’t have wasted his time by being the one to start the negotiations in the first place.

At any rate, Koncz further said that he’ll be looking to fix up the broadcasting issues and that he’d be making some phone calls on Thursday to take care of the problem. Just precisely what Koncz can do to push the two cable giants Showtime and HBO to speed up their negotiations is anyone’s guess.

I’m not too sure that they’re going to speed up their negotiations just because Koncz is putting some heat under their backsides. What can Koncz say to HBO and Showtime to make them speed up their negotiations? I guess he can threat to have Pacquiao pull out of the fight, but he’s kind of already done that with his January 31st deadline.

Pacquiao and Koncz can move the deadline up a couple of days and make it a 24 hour deadline like the one Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum gave to Mayweather during their first negotiations in 2009. That one worked real good, didn’t it? Mayweather moved on and the two of them ended up not facing each other.

isnt that the definition of leverage? If they wait as you say, its because they can. If mayweather decides to not fight may2 and delay it to June for example, it removes that leverage. If he doesnt, then he and showtime have to make a decision under duress of that leverage.
