Extremely strong chatter than Mayweather-Cotto 2 is imminent.
Cotto's adviser earlier today also said there were no updates on negotiations... didn't deny they were happening:

I asked @eaag if indeed Cotto-Floyd 2 is near fruition. "Honestly no update," Cotto advisor told me
Neither Floyd nor Cotto have been negotiating in good faith with their potential opponents. Both Pac and Canelo agreed to their terms and were given the shaft for a pointless rematch no one asked for.
I think Pac-Canelo should go down on May 2nd, 150-152 catch weight just to be a giant **** you to Floyd and Miguel.
I doubt manny or cotto fights without roach in their corner.

There is no fight if HBO and SHO can't come to an agreement. Also no contracts are drawn up until all parties agree on all points.
So to push the agenda that Floyd needs to sign the contract is bogus, just like Bob Arum stating prior to the Algieri fight that the networks were in agreement regarding broadcasting this fight.
I think HBO would frown on Bob and Manny if they pulled out of this fight after they have taken the time to sit down with Shotime to reach an agreement.
I really hope this fight happens and no one backs out this time around.Originally posted by ShoulderRoll View PostAgreed.
Pacquiao has to make it clear to HBO that the broadcast rights shouldn't be a roadblock. Stick to past precedent and just use the same model that the two networks had in place for Lennox Lewis vs Mike Tyson.

I'm going to laugh so hard if Pac gives an unanswered deadline and walks away. It's a perfect way for this farce to end and both these con artists to claim victory in the media and with their fans.
