            The fight is happening.

All of this talk in the media is just to postpone the big announcement until the superbowl weekend.

Keep the public demanding, take the idea away from them, talk trash through the media, keep the press talking about rumours.

Announce what the public want during the biggest sporting event in America. Marketing 101.

I believe both sides have agreed and given their word to key people and here is the angle I present: Would HBO and Showtime have summit meetings and invest a lot of time working out these details if they did not have both fighters word? It would be like a seamstress making a wedding dress for a lady before finding out if she was still planning on getting married. That wouldn't happen. Floyd may not be talking to the public but I doubt he is going to betray his network if they put so much effort into the details with HBO's if he wasn't going to fight and HBO and Showtime would not be investing this much effort if Floyd had not given his word. Time is money and network execs are not going to waste time if a key party has not agreed. That's my take.

Well said but will be ignored by the Pac fans/Floyd haters. CBS head Moonves is going to personally meet with HBO this week according to the LA Times. Obviously there is a degree of interest of Mayweather's side for this much talk to be going on.

Remains to be seen but prematurely calling the fight dead seems like wishful thinking from Pac fans.
