Managers and promoters gave fans? Lol. I'm a big James a Prince and Cameron Dunkin fan. I'm also a K2 and Matchroom fan.

To answer your question Arums put on better fights than Haymon last year. I enjoyed Crawford-Gamboa, Marquez-Alvarado, Bradley-Chaves, PAC-Bradley, Loma-Salido, Provo-Algieri and others. Haymons had Matthysse-Molina, Floyd-Maidana1 and Broner-Taylor but not much else.

I didn't know Haymon had fans. He is a greedy guy who is hurting boxing by advising his 140 boxers to avoid hard fights. One guy managing or advising something like 140 different fighters is wrong, a big fat conflict of interest and with the way Haymon has his fighters duck hard fights it's bad for boxing. Managing well over 100 boxers is not illegal but I wish it was. One guy managing this many fighters is unheard of in boxing history.

The reason people slam Al Haymon is because he doesn't make fights people want to see. The only exception is a mandatory and even then there's is no guarantee.

Haymon has always been about maximizing paydays with the lowest risk possible. He did this when Greenberg was head of HBO and now he's doing it with Showtime now that Greenberg is gone and Espinoza is at Showtime. Fans are tired of the BS. Just look at the horrible year Haymon put together on Showtime in 2014. Absolutely embarrassing. Has nothing to do with Floyd and everything to do with subpar boxing cards. There is no excuse the man has over a hundred fighters signed to him and yet we keep getting showcase fights after showcase fights.

And it's not about HBO vs Showtime it's about who is buying good fights. When Hershman was with Showtime they constantly had the Fights of the Year even though they had little money. And for the most part he buys quality fights on HBO, despite half of f ucking boxing being signed to Haymon.
          oh boy, total ownage!

you skip over the fact that Richard Schaefer was responsible for the great year that showtime had in 2013. once Schaefer left gbp in 2014. ****ty cards followed.

everybody blames haymon for 2014 on showtime, but its obvious the lost of Richard Schaefer was the main reason showtime took a dive in 2014.

Oscar didn't know who was signed too him and who wasn't. so it makes it kind of hard too make fights under that circumstance. and haymon had too come up with a whole new plan for his fighters since his main guy at gbp was gone.

the fact is people hate haymon because his name is attached too mayweather.

half the people on this site don't even know al haymon's first client was Vernon forrest. that's the fighter that started haymon's boxing endeavor.

Seriously: I don't really mind about what Al Haymon does -- he's free to do business as he pleases and as he is allowed to...

Promoting boxing is tricky these days. Too many "governing bodies" (belts), TV networks, advertising shortage, strict financial surveillance (corroborated with astronomical purses) etc...

Haymon wouldn't have any support if it wasn't for his association with Floyd.

He probably wouldn't be as vocally criticized either, but he'd be universally disliked.
