Team GGG: "Uhmmmm.....welll...uhmm....you see the thing is....uhmmm.....financial sense....uhmmm....focused on 160...uhhmm....did i mention financial sense?"

    Ward: *blank stare*
    Actually more like this.

Team GGG; We will kill everyone from 154-168.

If you actually understand then why do you keep claiming that it is a mere excuse? I don't know for sure, if Ward was free and fighting, whether Golovkin would have fought ward already or would be fighting Ward soon. What is known is that it is moot in light of Ward's actual situation.

Because Golovkin's team have said from the start that they don't want to fight Andre Ward and it had NOTHING to do with Ward's legal issues. They said it when Ward was still active. So stop.

You shit on Edwin Rodriguez and then support Golovkin fighting guys like Adama, Geale, and Rubio? Golovkin's been fed a steady diet of Edwin Rodriguez's for his entire 8-year career. His best victory is Geale. Ward has blown out Carl Froch, Mikkel Kessler, Chad Dawson, and Arthur Abraham. Golovkin's resume is only comparable to Ward's second rate wins like Edison Miranda, Allan Green, Edwin Rodriguez, and Sakio Bika

Keep in mind Ward is also years 2 years younger than Golovkin. Looking at Golovkin's current resume and age, one might ask if Golovkin will ever accomplish what Ward has already accomplished.

Except that they haven't been saying that. They've said they are happy to fight opponents between 154-168, ideally they want to stay at 160 but will try to make fights at 154 and 168 if there are big fights that generate cash, basically PPV fights They have said that the Ward fight is not a PPV fight, which is factually accurate. The financial situation with Ward is hardly improved by his continued absence. If Ward was actually fighting rather than suing his promoter then with Golovkin's growing popularity the GGG-Ward fight might actually be on the horizon as a big PPV fight.

And that's fine but why mention his legal issues? They don't want to fight Ward because it doesn't bring enough reward for the risk.

Because he cannot fight, if he had been, and was still fighting then the fight could have already been a PPV fight. In fact the Golovkin-Ward fight might have been ready by the end of 2014 or early 2015. Instead it is, at best, going to be a viable fight sometime in 2016.

It's not though. Golovkin's people don't like the risk/reward calculation. Nothing to do with anything else.
