Good interview, triple G fanboys need not go on the defensive

Hunter gives a lot of credit to Golovkin and he's right about the fans being unforgiving after one fight

Golovkin should avoid moving up to fight Ward of all people, it's a big risk and could set him back for a long time and ruin his "marketability"

This isnt ducking, it's about making business sense and making sure TripleG is at his best both as a sportsman and career wise if he does ever face Ward

    No need to rush

LOOOOOOOOOOOOL wtf does that even prove?

Ive said several times that i wanted a throat & titty fcking session with scarlett johansson.

      so what?

reminds me of floyd fans defending floyd ducking and dodging by saying there is video of floyd calling out fighters as if that proved anything.

      TALK IS CHEAP.

I just dont understand ward fans. Ward has basically wiped out 168. He's been in the division for quite sometime. its not like he started at 147lbs and he's maxed out weight wise like say pacquiao or floyd, so why doesnt he just move up to 175 already and make his resume greater by adding light heavyweight champion to his resume.

Instead this guy is fishing for a 160 pounder.

Do the right thing ward and go up to 175 already. that's where the rest of your money and legacy reside (kovaelv, stevenson, pascal, hopkins).

Golovkin's people want to build up his hype train until he is seen as some unbeatable legend.

Losing to Andre Ward would ruin that so obviously they will steer clear of him.

Golovkin's management wouldn't entertain the fight regardless and they said that long before Hunter spoke. They said it before Ward was even inactive.
Of course they aren't going to entertain the fight now being that GGG is mandatory to the WBC belt and they are obviously waiting for a potential Canelo/Cotto clash. On top of that Hunter said they want two tune up fights whenever Ward does return so the fight likely couldn't happen right now even if GGG wanted the fight immediately.

This fight will happen when both sides are ready, likely mid to late 2016.

GGG has unfinished business at 160 first. There's no doubt he would fight Ward and vice-versa but to do it right now would be ******. For obvious reasons.

There's nothing wrong with Golovkin's people not wanting to put him in with Ward yet.

I don't know why GGG fanboys get so defensive and roll out excuses about Ward's inactivity or legal issues or "2 tune ups".

Because at his pace two tuneups will be done in 2017
