GGG is not a PPV-worthy fighter and never will be. Knocking out unworthy opponents does not make you a PPV fighter. If it did, Deontay Wilder would be appearing on PPV now and former knockout artists like Randall Bailey would have made a dozen appearances on PPV. If GGG ever fights in a PPV, he will be the B-side. Andre Ward is in the same boat. He will never be able to carry a PPV and will be the B-side if he appears in a PPV.
De La Hoya, Mayweather, Cotto, (and to the extent that they are PPV draws) Chavez and Alvarez did not become PPV worthy fighters because of their skill and power in the ring. They became PPV worthy because of their marketability. GGG does not have that marketability and never will.
Two B-side fighters cannot make a PPV fight, no matter how good they are. If you don't believe that, go back and look at the Hopkins-Dawson II fight and see how it did on PPV. We will never see Ward-GGG on PPV. They can let the fight marinate as long as they want. It will never be any bigger than it is now.
